I bought an ESAB welder; wish I hadn't. Terrible customer service. Been trying now for months to get the hose to stop leaking. Bought several new parts at the dealer. Now, the dealer doesn't sell them anymore. Tried contacting ESAB, GOT ABSOLUTELY no where. So for those who watch power nation and see them using the new ESAB rebel; I would think twice.

This one is going in the trash; had enough.

My experience over 50 years...
1.Go Lincoln
2. Miller

A few years ago, on Orange County Choppers, they started to push the ESAB line.

I bought a ESAB back in the late 90's and it has been great but I think they've changed owners since. My weld dealer has always taken good care of me.

I`ve used Miller, Lincoln and ESAB and find them to be good welders. At the end though it boils down to good customer service. I`m not even sure who sells ESAB in my town but I know the Miller and Lincoln dealers well. That's probably who I would stick with.

I bought a Everlast multi processor and I will let people here know how it works once I get it.

The first Everest would not work in Tig mode; sent it back , the replacement made a large pop when I turned it on. So, I sent it back and bought a Miller.

ESAB area rep. finally contacted and sent me a new hose setup for my Tig machine. Took long enough, over one year.

I deal with Miller for a few reasons,
1- they seem to keep producing parts for their machines after many years
2- no shortage of local dealers or internet sources
3- customer support has always been more than satisfactory
4- nice stuff

Esab makes nice stuff too but this is not the first time I heard about cs being a problem, a friend of mine bought a brand new machine that fedex damaged, trying to get the situation remedied proved to be a 2 month process. He bought it from grainger and they drop shipped it so he had to deal with them directly and he said never again, he has a miller now...

I'm a big fan of HTP. I have 2 of their welders which both work great. To me their customer service is second to none. True story: I once called them on a weekend to order some parts, they weren't open at the time so the answering machine picked up... I didn't leave a message. Monday morning I got a call back because they saw my # on their system caller ID.
