Lookey what showed up today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I can say is I'm more than happy with them, these things are sweet! I think the price ($150.00) for a set of custom made call outs of this quality is more than reasonable and the guys at Emblempros were great to deal with as well. Guess I'll be putting the final coat of paint on the scoop this weekend. :headbang:

Beautiful Car You Have !!!!! The interior is awesome.

Thanks Joe, this is the first car I've built that I could actually afford to have a nice interior so it's pretty rewarding not sitting in a crappy cockpit like I used to haha.

Had to see what it was going to look like, me likey.

Devin that has to be one cool car when your out and folks see it! You "likey", Me agree :)

Very 'There' 747.....this the first angle i've seen that i get the hood...thought it was scalloping or lasering, whatnot...didn't see Flag...that's nice...there but understated. Buck Fifty is very reasonable.

Now that's what I'm talking about . . . that is just what the doctor ordered ! ! !

Funny how that little update really just sets off that hood scoop . . . I LIKEY TOO ! ! ! WHOOOHOOO ! ! !

Finally got the news...........ouch 20150604_112122.jpg

Herniated disc and a bone spur...... go figure they're pushing on the same spot but opposite sides! I don't feel like quite the pussy now..... I take that back, I swung by Summit on the way home and saw they had low profile floor jacks on sale so I bought one and asked for assistance loading it (pretty heavy unit). A young nice looking girl carted it to my truck and threw it in the bed, wow was that a serious blow to the ego. That's been the hardest thing, going from man handling 200+lbs to having girls help you dammit does this suck.

On a good note, I had the Charger realigned and the tires rebalanced. .......... drum roll. Still vibrates but man does it drive better. Turns out somehow the alignment got screwed up but now with the correct toe and the full width of the rubber on the road it drives so much better. He did say the balance on the tires wss way off too but I didn't notice a difference in that. Back to tracking it down.

Sorry to hear about your back. Mine isn't as serious as yours but I know how it feels to have age creep up. I can't lift nearly the same weight I used to. Don't know if this helps or not but a good friend of mine had a bulging disc that put him in so much pain he couldn't walk upright. The doctors went in, shaved the sides, a little nip 'n tuck and he was on his stomach for a couple of weeks but after that he was running around better than new. The treatment of disc injuries has come a long way in the last 10 years, I'm sure you'll find relief. May have to lay off the power shifting for a while.

What's the plan for the back? Is surgery necessary? Would you just do that yourself with a mirror ;) (remember objects in mirror are closer than they appear!)

Serious note as much as it sucks to find out it's better that you know and now can take whatever action necessary to give you a better quality of life. Nice to hear too that some good came out of the alignment but I really wish for your sake that damn vibration would quit haunting you!

Btw this reminded me of you for some unknown reason! lol

LMAO! Now come on I don't pack that many around. Plan of attack? I've been thinking about it and I'm pretty sure I'll do the surgery like CoronetDart was talking about. It's an outpatient surgery that takes an hour where they shave off the bulging part of the disc and remove the spur. I need to get the details on restrictions, down time, etc before I decide on when to do it because I just applied for my passport for you know where. I guess when you look at the MRI there's just no way around the fact that there's a serious issue that isn't just going to disappear.

I would greatly appreciate it if anybody with a 68-70 B Body (THAT DOESN'T VIBRATE) could measure how far it is from the floor to the center of the slip yoke and where the yoke is as far as left to right going off of the rocker panel pinch welds. I put mine where the old one was but it vibrated too so it's worth s look.

when i did mine it is in the center of the tunnel. also the bottom of the out put is right at the bottom of floor.

So your saying if you were to put a straight edge across the bottom of the floor at the output the output would basically sit right on it (bottom of output even with the bottom of floor)? Thanks Charlie

Things have been crazy busy around here but I found the time to get the exhaust change mostly done. I've been spending any free time I get dialing this car in to where I'm totally happy with and the exhaust was on the list. With the lower stance it has become an issue and chasing down the driveline vibration I have was harder with the drone off of the homemade mufflers so I purchased a set of straight threw stainless mufflers, 2 mandrel bent U's and a section of pipe to get it done. I thought about going out the back but think I'll at least try to keep the side exit but really tuck it back tight to the tire where it won't drag. It's all installed but stops before going under the leaves which is where I ran out of gas. THE RESULT..................... I was expecting the smaller straight threw mufflers to eliminate drone do to the packing but be louder on the outside, surprisingly these things are fairly quite too but did eliminate the drone ($60.00 for both mufflers is a steal).

With the realignment, re-balancing and new exhaust it really has the Charger feeling like a much better tuned package, a real joy to drive. Still waiting for more garage time to move the tranny up 1 degree in the tunnel to eliminate that possibility but am working on a whole different issue now, I threw a dial indicator on the rear wheels and found one out .050" and the other .030" so I pulled them off and found the axle to be 2.821" and the wheel bore to be 2.861" so so the lug nuts are the only thing centering the wheel (calling the company tomorrow but will likely just make a bushing). The hunt continues, I think I'll be 100% happy if I find that..... Oh yeah 1 little minor tuning issue too but it should be easy.

yes the shaft not the tail housing

That's about where I'm at, level with floor.

Devin, Im sorry to hear of yet more back problems, I know those spurs can cause a lot of the pain crap.. best on your exhaust! im dead sure you'll get it where you want it. :)

No worries Ron, I see what so many of you are going threw and just thank my lucky stars that this is all I have to deal with for now. If all goes well I'm just an hour long surgery away from relief.

Good luck with your back and the surgery . Great job on the charger , that thing is is a sweet ride , you should be proud of your work ,,,, I AM !! Oh, also , I hope you find that dang vibration ,,,, man vibration diagnostics can drive a fella nuts

sorry to hear about your back, good luck hope everything works out, i got a vibration also. i got to take the driveshaft back out and send it in to someone that knows how to balance one.
