747...just remembered name of underbody coat we used on goat...Raptor...pretty sure it's euro * has been around a long time, OEM's use it and they are diverse in product The Goat will be an anthracite....frame is powder coated to closely match the color code and the Raptor was toned to match the frame. Will have some potos of some of the build over the past two years uploaded before too long, starting w/ it on rotiss. a 'vert 67.....pretty much the pro-touring vein. Any way ask some reps about raptor prod...hell just review on line...must be a website.......if You can get a toned chip guard that is close to ball park, that's superior to laying a clear chip guard over Your color IMO.....i'm not fond of clears in general, & don't use them when i don't have too....a single stage will far outlast base/clear....look at all new car finishes ...5-7 seven years of normal exposure to elements and those top surfaces are on their way out..turn white, then flake and, clear's not paint,..no pigment...literally a plastik film...it wont last as long as paint with pigments. Doing a toned undercoat with metallics in it....everything is low and doesn't get direct sunlight. so you don't have a UV problem w/ metallics oxidizimg out......mettallics oxidizing is the only reason OEM shifted to 2 stage, then opaque colors got clear starting in 80's.....scam like income tax...how to get more money out of people...and make them spend it more often, making them think they have to...more work, more stuff to go wrong....more to Post Cure.....also saves a hell of a lot for mfg'rs in material if they don't have to stock the makings for single stage plus the urethane clears.
