Road Trip Gulf Coast to NorCal

For those who don't know, the purple Mohawk is to mimic the Roadrunner's head feathers, and as New Orleans is my home town, Mardi Gras is in my blood.
Next week, shave it all off and start growing it again for the next time.

Line in front and behind me, moving slowly with lots of stops...heading for our "official venue" parking spots.

70 GTO in front of me (I like the 70 Roadrunner way better! ) and my wife's GTO behind me.

Trying to give an idea of how gigantic the venue is. There are several streets packed with cars and people like these, and lots of vehicles in parking lots and grassy areas in between.

Spent the day in Gautier, (Go-Shay) Mississippi. Eco tour on the Bayou with Captain Jeff, then dinner at the Tiki Bar a few blocks away. Amazing and beautiful. That’s I-10 from the boat, catfish frenzy feeding at the Marina where the Tiki is, and the Hard Rock Biloxi on the way down 90 East. Great day.

Well...this year it has been unseasonably hot, and there is a lot going on at night...

We went to Test and Tune night at Gulfport Dragway. There is a classic car "event" that is scheduled for Friday at the track that involves burnout contests, racing, and etc etc, but I don't think that the event is going to have anything but rain with a strong cold front coming through. I'm hoping that Mopars at the Marina is clear tomorrow, it looks ok to me until around 1-2pm, then a good bit of rain until late Friday night/early Saturday morning. Should be clear and much cooler and drier for the BIG DAY Saturday

Not much classic iron, but Friday is supposed to be a special cruise related event, but I think the rain may wash that out.
