Route 66 trip

See she gave you some MORE grey from her sitting on the edge of the cliff!!!!

Sorry for the delay guys.
Internet has been very spotty as of late.

Our trip continues to transition to less of Route 66 and onto the highway heading to see more of the natural wonders in the western states, being over here already.

So yesterday, day 7:

We drove the morning to reach our destination in…

Beautiful scenery once again upon entering that state…

We arrived at Zion National Park by early afternoon.
We rented electric bicycles and toured the park via the bike trail.
This has been amongst the best experiences on our journey thus far.
I highly recommend doing this if you ever get the chance.

Some of these pictures were taken right from the bicycles…

We pulled over a few times to take in some of the sights by foot too…

We stopped for dinner on the way out of the park.
Food and service were great here…

After a long day at Zion National Park yesterday, we hit the road headed towards Nevada.
We never did get a photo of crossing the Nevada state line like we hoped.
But here’s one I got from the inner webs so the thread feels complete LOL…

We woke up this morning, having spent the night at an RV Park near Boulder City, NV.
It was hot, very hot compared to what we’re used to. Nearly 100° overnight. The A/C in the RV had a very tough time keeping up.

We woke up this morning, showered, ate and got back on the road again. Snapped a few pics before we left.

I believe this is the Virgin River surrounded by the Black Mountains.

Today, day 8:

Lots of windshield time. We drove about 450 miles, through Nevada.
This is as close to Las Vegas as I’ll probably ever get. :)

And today we finally made it to…

We’re planning to spend some time in this state tomorrow and then head up the west coast likely Monday morning.
We’ll see how it goes.

@PlymCrazy great trip! How far up the coast are you going? If you hit the Washington border, I've got a place for you to hang your hat if you'd like.

Aw thanks man.
Our portion of the trip will end in Oregon, in particular Crater Lake.
That really has been where our eyes have been set on the entire time.
Mama and I will exit the RV on Saturday 8/24 and hop on a plane back to NY.
Our friends will spend the following week touring the country back home in the RV.

Very cool! Crater lake is a sight to behold. My brother-and-sister-in-law stopped there on their way to Reno a week and a half ago and visibility was somewhat impaired by forest fire smoke. Hopefully the weather we're getting will clear that out for you.

Well Nick / @PlymCrazy Im in Rochester, I stopped at the house and took the cars out for a stretch for you. :poke: See you next time Im up here.

Thanks, someone’s gotta do it

Hope you topped them all off with gas.
The Bel Air needs the lead additive.
I keep it in the trunk.

Well, the last couple of days have been sightseeing in some national parks.

Very difficult to get cellular service.
And the driving up and down hills accompanied by seemingly never ending twisting and winding mountainous roads?
That took some getting used to - in fact, I’m still not used to it LOL.
