I must admit, I like the JJ1 too.

I've had a '68 Hemi GTX for 30 years, just started working it this year. New paint is on, I used PPG DBC. JJ1 "gold ember poly" is not available in DBC, so they matched it with one phone call to PPG, it really pops in the light. I haven't cut and buffed yet, but the clear is all on.

A lot of folks give me trouble for keeping it JJ1 instead of something more flashy, but i shrug my shoulders, say "it's a factory hemi car, i'd like to keep it original. If I wanted purple, I'd build a clone!

Good to see some variety in colour schemes. I've got a 69 Charger in Y4 gold with a black roof. The colours suit the period as does the vinyl roof. How many vinyl roofs do you see on moderns? Anyhow I wanted something different that stands out, but given I'm in Australia what chance of not standing out

Good question. Wow. I can't remember the last time I saw a vinyl roof on a modern. Last car I remember was my Mom's 1987 Mercury Grand Marquis that had a vinyl...

Looks great!!! I'm also glad it was left a Satellite and not cloned! My kid brother picked up a '69 Sport Satellite a few months ago that had been cloned into a Road Runner. The first thing he did was pull the RR hood and grill and the rest of the RR stuff and sell it!! He's got almost all of the Sport Satellite stuff back on it and it looks sweet!
