Speedcooling ECP radiator

I just got mine for my 69’ Dart GT. Gonna be fun putting in a 26” radiator where a 22” barely fits, lol!!
Please update us on what you find and how it works out.

I think you just used the wrong shroud. I ordered the mopar 2998326 shroud from Summit racing and the holes were dead on. I did add some rivnuts and trimmed the edge. View attachment 579960View attachment 579961View attachment 579962View attachment 579963View attachment 579964View attachment 579965
Thanks for the information. I was told that the 1970 shroud might be too large in diameter for my 1968 application. Don't know for certain. Perhaps you can pass along to Frank at ECP that their radiator works with the 1970 shroud?

Hopefully start taking out the old brass/copper radiator today.

The ECP radiator is temporarily in. I’m fighting for space, fan wise. I have s 7 blade clutch style fan on the new Hayden 2947 (shortest they make) and it won’t fit. My Volvo 2 speed fan is too deep, wont fit unless I move the radiator to the front of the core support, not keen on that. So I ordered a fan shroud for an e body and will use my fixed 7 blade fan. I’m pissed cause I have ac and really want this 470 to run around 200 with the ac on and I’m sure that won’t happen when it’s 100-115 here in the summer.

Nope. The one I have in my X is a direct bolt up for stock radiator shroud. I did have to enlarge the holes to get the clip nuts to seat but it was a direct fit. It works fine in SW AZ too.

Threewood what was your inlet and outlet sizes on the radiator my 64 didn't have one when i bought the car and you live in temps i do if not hotter. Lol hell is cooler than some days around here. I like this 2 core one and just trying to get some good insight thanks for the help.

RIGHT UPPER INLET 1 1/2'' LEFT LOWER OUTLET 1 3/4''

And I recently measured temps at the top and the bottom hose which showed a 45 degree drop so it does cool very well. I haven't measured temp drop in triple digit weather but it did cool well last summer in Yuma.

Great thank you i will put this in my book so when i get to that point i know where to go have a great weekend

Drove about 7 miles each way to a car show yesterday. Got home and wiped coolant off the bottom of the radiator again.
Just popped the hood and discovered a leak.
I'll email Frank and see what he says.

Damn, that ain’t good.

2 year warranty according to their site...hope you kept the box. :)

Yes I kept the box and packing materials.

I emailed the pictures to Frank.

This tube is almost center of the petcock and transmission fitting. The location that has been wet since I installed this radiator. I knew I had a leak, just took some driving to open up the flow.

I'll let you know what Frank's reply.

I looked at cold case tonight. I did not see a radiator that would fit my car?

This is the ECP radiator I am using. Upper hose on the right, bottom on the left.

Cold Case picture incorrect?

Might be worth a call... but... if ECP is worth their salt they will send out a replacement.

Got the radiator and fan shroud mocked up in my 69’ Dart GT. The shroud is really close to the power steering pump pulley, but does clear by a few hairs. Still no room for a clutch fan so a fixed fan it is. If this combo doesn’t cool at low speed then I’ll need to go with e-fans.

That leak could happen on any radiator from the el cheapo to 1k. I’m sure Frank will take care of it for you without any hassle.

That A-body is a tight fit. Looks good.
