The forward edge of the original dash was cut off. That portion retains the glass seal and the VIN tag. It has been welded to the new dash structure.

Some will think you are mixing apples with oranges, I love it. I put a 1960 Chevy dash in a mid 80's Chevy G-body once. It's fun and a one only car. I like to follow a path less traveled, my 1965 Dodge Coronet has a 5.7 Hemi, some like, some hate. Keep up the great work!!

This has been an amazing read!!

I have no where near the skill you have, but is this something a DIY'er could do?

I think anyone can accomplish anything. Skill, attention to detail, tools available, and motivation will play a large factor in determining the quality and timeline to do something like this.

Which filler pieces did they use on both sides of the back seat? I would like to place the back seat into my 70's Satellite but the Satellite is much bigger then the Challenger where the seat came out from.

Amazing job! Keep on going with the updates!

Those are the stock SRT/Charger filler pieces. They will need to be cut down now that the rear seat back has been lowered.

Looking good man! Id like to do a one piece in my RR but not sure how that would turn out with the OE roof ribbing....

Just went through all 14 pages and I have to say that this is an exceptionally well executed effort. In some of the original posts you stated it was to be a "driver", well it will be one of the nicest drivers on the road to be sure.

One question/comment; when I put the front tower strut rod (the bar that runs from one strut tower to the other) in my 2010 Challenger, I was told that in order for it to work as intended, the center needed to be connected to the body (hence the 2 holes in the center of the bar). However i notice on this build they are not presumably due to the distance from the body. For the record I am in no way criticizing the work, just wondering if you considered this issue or if perhaps something has been added to address it or if it is something that isn't a concern.

The strut bar attaches to the stock brace. Just don't have it installed yet. If you ever see how light and flimsy the stock piece is, you'd debate even putting it in! It's more of a harness hanger and pcm mount than a structural piece.

Awesome work, coming together beautifully!

Great build. I missed something how did you motorize the windshield wipers?

I used the LX wiper motor. This allows the the LX wiper stalk to control the the system and provide the modern wiper functions. I disassemble the RR wiper pivots and welded on the LX's bell crank tabs. Then just fabricated a new motor mount and linkage rods.

Pretty amazing build. What’s the overall investment in something like this? I’m assuming well north of $100K...
