Strange computer problem!

I am the guy! But don't tell anybody...

What do you have for anti virus programs?

If you are close or past your subscription date, they slow you down intentionally so you’ll buy it again.

If you have a PC, I recommend removing all aftermarket antivirus suites at theDNA level on your hard drive.

Norton, Mcafee, etc, are themselves a virus.

Use Windows Defender and keep it updated. No one has a better vested reason to keep your machine virus free than Microsoft. If the machine is easily mucked up, you’ll go buy a Mac. They don’t want that.

Ive been driving that way for a decade with no problems. I also use a VPN as it makes it much harder for the shitbags to find your computer. You can still eFF it up by clicking on a viral email or link though. But the VPN service provider also looks for malware, so it’s like a second level of “wall”

Do not surf the web using your admin level authorities. If you do and you click on something, you have already given the malware permission to run on your machine. Use a different user account you sent up that has no admin authority to surf the web.

These techniques worked for me, even living in Afghanistan where the Iranians were spoofing the whole web.

What speed are you paying for?
Google IP Speed Test. Pick one of them and compare your results against what your ISP is supposed to be delivering.

Thanks for the input, guys. Some of the jargon goes over my head.

I have Wave Broadband.
Now, DodgeCharger. Com is coming up normally. All day yesterday it was messed up. I’m still having trouble on these sites though.

Greg, do you have an adblock program on your web browser? That could hamper performance too.

Could be your isp dns. Dns is what translates forbbodiesonly.com domain name into an ip address (67.226.208.17). If your isp dns isn't working correctly you'll run into this problem. If you feel comfortable and know how to get into your router settings, you can try using a different dns server. Log into your router and find the dns settings. They'll probably be empty. You can set the primary dns to 1.1.1.1 and then save the settings. This will use cloudflare's free dns service. Then reboot your computer and see if you can get on forbbodiesonly.com. If still not working you can always remove 1.1.1.1.

I had a buddy come over and clear a few things off the computer and do a few updates. Getting to FABO was easy but here still is troublesome.

A guy at YellowBullet posted a link to this site....

This is a program designed for web owners and administrators to intentionally slow down or block troublesome members. I don't think that is the problem here though. It would be so much easier to just ban a member than to do this.
I knew something like this existed though....

What do you do for Comcast? Wife just left Comcast, she worked out of the Naperville office. Just wondering if she might know you, I never heard her talk about any other car enthusiasts at Comcast.
It was an Italian joke, I think you missed it.

If phone is ok, use your phone as a hot spot for your P/C see if that helps quick and easy.

It was a sarcastic remark. lol I do the IT for my company so I have some experience with the Comcast.

Just for grins, test your internet and ISP speed. Run this when your computer is slow, then repeat when the problem goes away and compare. I had inconsistent speed and it turned out someone climbed the utility pole where my cable comes in, and trashed one of the connections.

The reset my friend did seemed to work.
I did do a test of the computer speed on Friday evening. It was on the upper end of the scale.

We pay for a gig and I am getting less than half that but I'm in the kitchen and wireless. The speed test is a generic test from Google. When we were having slow service, our ISP wanted us to use their speed test and of course their test is faster. :BangHead::BangHead::rofl:
