Wookie

Can you tell me how those are wired up? Do you have to modify the wire harness? Is there a previous thread that goes in detail for this conversion? What all is entailed to do this set up for the H4 lights? Im interestd in doing this myself. Something like this could be in a archives (if there is ) here.

Also, you mentioned you are putting in a 3" exhaust. Did you modify the rear valence for the tips?

Sorry for all of the questions but inquireing minds just wanna know. GREAT looking car

They are factory tips and fit a factory valance with the cut outs. Exhaust isn't in yet but I'm sure it will be tight.

There was a thread on a headlight conversion. Perhaps someone can post a link. I can't seem to find it.

Thanks for the kind words. The build is coming together nice.

Hope someone has the thread for the conversion. I'd like to have more info on them. I'm liking your thread Wookie. Keep them coming.

Reverse indicator on dash is in.

Electric fans and rad are in. Ran into a couple snags. The Headers hang too low (must be for a 440?), so we are gonna swap them out for a different set. If anybody is looking for a set to fit a B Body, PM me. Also having issues with the Z-Bar for the clutch linkage, so she will be delayed a bit longer. Oh well, everything else is looking good.

Thanks. It is getting close now and every day just drags on now. I am hoping next week it is done, but more than likely it is going to be early August. Fingers crossed!

Fingers crossed she will be all done and coming home next Friday! Ended up having to go with a hydraulic clutch due to linkage issues. The kit as well as the TTI headers should be in early next week. The hookers that were on are for sale if anyone is looking for a set of 440 B Body headers? Here is a shot of the engine headerless!

The E brake lines are finished up as well as a 1 1/2" lowering spacer block to get the ride height correct. It will be a month or so before the springs settle a bit, but it should have one mean stance when complete.

The project is winding down and I am so excited to get her home. I am having the rear rims widened as well and will be putting Mickey T's on in place of the BFG's.

Hope everybody has a great weekend!

Few more pictures. finishing off a few things, fingers crossed it will come home next week. Days are dragging now.

Well with 513 HP & 608 Ft/Lbs torque, the 245/60R15's on 7" just won't cut it. Had a set built. 15x10's with chrome bells and a 5 5/8" back space wrapped in a 295/50R15 Micky Thompson's. Because of the tubular front suspension and rack tie rod ends we ran into clearance issues with 15" rims on the front. Had to add a spacer ring and can't put rim weights on edge of the rim, had to use stick on weights for clearance. Couldn't find an 15x8" chrome bell's to get proper back space so ended up staying with a 15x7 rim and a 4 3/8" back space. Running 235/60R15 Mickey Thompson up front.

Here is a photo of the tight steer rim clearance to give you an idea of what we are up against. If I put a 17" or 18" rim on in the future this becomes a non issue.

Do you guys like them better with or without trim rings?

Without.

With.

I am partial to trims rings myself. Should have photos of the rims on the car later this week.
Can't wait to light them up!

won't be long for firing that baby up.I like the trim rings myself.

Yes, it is getting close. Would love to see it by the end of this week, but in the real world it will likely be the end of next week.
