The 71 Charger 500 becomes a SuperBee clone!

Installing the sound deadening material for both the road and the audio.

What do you think about 17" Magnum 500's?

Another grill shot. Love the color match!

Car looks awesome. I imagine those 17 inchers would fill up the wheel housing. They look great though.

If there was a better word then awesome, id use it but i do agree, just AWESOME looking.. I put the sound deading stuff in my Satellite but its cheap, makes a big difference so i think your going to like yours! I live on a dirt road about one mile from the highway and had to have something to quiet down the stones and for now anyway the exhaust is kind of loud until i get the cash up for some Flow-masters to replace the cherry bombs.. Looking great bud!!

Sitting outside waiting for the alignment. Went to the body shop tonight for stripes and extras. Soon, but not soon enough.

You'll be terrorizing the streets soon now wookie!! looking great.. Have ya warned the neighbors yet :)

Oh it will be a bit yet. The little bit I have driven the car has discovered a wicked vibration in the 3000 RPM range. Hoping it is something simple. Will eliminate the rims when I put the Magnum 500's on in the next week or so. Hoping it's something like a pinion angle that is wrong or that the driveshaft is built wrong or not balanced correctly.

Truthfully the vibration reminds me exactly of when I was 16. I changed u-joints in my Dads truck and didn't phase the slip yoke properly. So I am hoping it is something like that, but in this case I guess it would be yokes not welded correctly.

Spoke with the body man last night and he has a buddy in the driveline business. He is going to take the shaft to him to test it. I guess we will see what is found?

Here is how it sits right now. Needs to come down for sure if I run these rims.

Quarter fender gap much more noticeable with the 17" on vs the 15" rim. A quick photoshop and here is roughly where I think it needs to sit. Opinions?

I want to see it with the stripe and the fender trim. Hope that will happen next week.
I wish they made a decent 45 or 50 series tire in 17".

Looking pretty good......Are you going to change springs or de-arch the current ones?

I am sure it is an optical illusion, but the tires look out of round on those rims? Maybe I just need some sleep....

Not sure what I will do exactly? I know I need to back the slide a link off yet. That will relax the spring. Could pull a leaf from the pack as well. Have a few ideas. Will let it settle a bit more before I do anything.

Here is a profile view of the car. Once the stripe, wing, spoiler, louver and wheel opening moldings are on I think it will look quite sexy!

Are the Magnums with low-profile tires the same over all height as the Ralleys?
I accidentally ordered 26-27 inch (265) tall tire for the back of my car and they look too small in the wheel opening. should have gone at least 28-30" tall for the look Im after, but I dont know anything about pro-tour? would a taller tire be cheaper than lowering the car? I love the stance with the Ralleys, but the magnums really make the color pop even more...if thats possible

Your car is one of My favorites on this site! Absolutely perfect plan and execution from start to finish!

Yeah, I am looking into a 28" tire for the rear of the car. I too like the stance. Problem is that the year one rims are only 9". Need a 9.5" to take advantage of the bigger rubber. I have sourced our a 277/50R17 M&H drag radial that I am waiting to get. It is almost 3" taller than the tire I have now.

The tires now are about an 1 1/2 lower than the rally wheels. that inch makes a big difference.

Thanks for the complements.

Hood pins in. Pin has been turned a 1/4 turn since photo.

Stripes went on today! Hope to have a photo of full dress on Friday :D That will be without wheel opening moldings though as we are waiting on screws.

HUGE improvement IMO.
