The Long Road to my 74 Satellite Rebuild

Wow, Awesome progress brother!!! Im going thru a divorce, so i havent done anything to mine. Getting ready to put a new idler arm in thats about it. Keep up the good work and I cant wait to see more pics. The chin spoiler is SICK!!!!

Thanks man! Awe im sorry to hear about the divorce, good luck.

Ill post some more soon hes almost done with the spoiler, looking really good!

Thanks!! As long as she stays away from the car and is fair with the kiddo's we shouldnt have a problem! Easier said than done tho. Its a horrible experience i dont wish on anyone.

Keep up the good work.

Sorry to hear that man i hope it works out for you. That a really sucky situation.

Here are some full shots of the front spoiler, and started working on ideas to make the scoops "functional". My uncle is working on the ducting for behind the scoops you can see them roughly built in one picture. That screen is temporary currently just for and idea not sure if that will be what i use or not.

Those wiskers look cool! And i do like the looks of the screen in your inserts, makes people wonder just whats up under that hood ill bet!!

Thanks ron! After i left my uncle ended up opening the scoops even more, and hes got the ducting done for them as well. I'll try and take some pictures today to post

Hey guys, so the hood scoops are done being fabricated here is what we ended up with. Enlarged the opening from the previous pictures. May eventually add more ducting and a box to the air cleaner but gonna see how works like this for now. I'm gonna put the screen on it to, but looking for some steel screen instead of the aluminum.

This will have a screen on it.

Thank you! Shes coming together! Really interested to see if i can notice any difference, temp or what not.

Hey guys, been a while since i updated. So here's whats going on. The doors and now in primer and ready for blocking and body work has started on the passengers side fender. Took more bondo on the top of the fender than we wanted (pretty sure one of the previous owners danced on the hood) but its not too bad.

I decided to put in electric door and trunk lock solenoids so i ordered a set. I also picked up a set of seats from the local pick and pull. Not sure if im going to used them yet but they where only 50 bucks so i couldn't pass them up. I already have a set of covers for the original seats but i really like how these look "sportier" and really comfortable too.

looking real good thanks for posting the updates :headbang:

Progress is looking good. Those seats look good, can't beat the price either.

Should be looking good when I get down there at Easter

I like the scoop idea and the spoiler looks great as well. Keep us posted

You sure have come along way! Really looking good and those seats do look comfortable! Keep the good work going, i cant wait to see the bumpers on this when she gets some color! Good luck!

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Ya definitely can't beat the price on the seats, I'm gonna use them and get the back seat reupholstered to match. Do 74 and 71 Satellites have the same seats? That's going to be my next project.

I'm super anxious to see it put together, its a real tease having it this close to paint.

Hey guys time for another update. Now we've got the body work done on the passenger side front fender, header panel and front valiance.
