Looks good, are they on there second round, with the dust under car looks like they have have been fixing the little defects

Thanks for showing how it REALLY gets done, in most every shop out there. You don't get perfectly straight lines blocking metal.

Yes, round two. Obviously, 99% of that will be sanded into dust. It takes a special talent to be able to finesse the curves of those quarters and also keep the horizontal body line straight.

Done right, it looks good and lasts a LONG time.

You can put a fridge magnet anywhere on my Bee or Bird and it will stick, and no we didn't put steel wool in the filler! LOL

Both were fully skim coated before full blocking it into dust.

I have done that afterhours at car shows......it's scary how many high-dollar cars won't hold a simple fridge magnet.

And it's nothing to do with them using Adam's nano-tech car polish

Of course, for the people with real bondo filled holes, there's always magnetic paint that you can use to fool the fridge magnet.

All kidding aside,once the first coat of high build primer goes on,you are beyond the ugly phase! My step father used to say,paint covers up a lot of sin! Soon Earl Dubb will be laying down some color!

Really straight cars have filler. I do think it is better to coat the whole panel in filler and block it out than to have lots of layers of high build primer. It's no bondo buggy.

Mark was smart to pre-fit the engine and transmission prior to bodywork and paint.
With stock engines, you know it will fit and clear but with custom stuff like the 6.4 392 Hemi he is using here, there are unknowns that are really a pisser to deal with on the fly. I didn't know about the clearance issues at the rear of the intake. The 3 speed wiper motor is the usual choice for clearance issues since the drive motor lays flat against the firewall as opposed to the 2 speed unit.
The Tremec transmissions are modified to fit our cars but this is for engines in the stock location. Some 3G Hemi motor mount kits move the engine forward for clearance but this wreaks havoc with the Tremec transmissions that were clearanced for the torsion bar crossmember.

The red arrow points to the notch to clear the crossmember.

Move the engine forward the 1 3/4" and that notch now doesn't help.

It seems like now would be the time to modify the firewall near the wiper motor for clearance for that 6.4 intake manifold. Maybe you you did that already?
