Mine just did!

Actually two. I bought the tungsten one & I later found out the dealer actually drove the car and rolled back the mileage and repainted the passenger's door. An honest employee sent me a letter a few weeks after I bought it. When I confronted them, they took it back and got me the white/blue one.....

Sweet cars! Not everybody knows that these were aluminum body panels even though original GT-40 race cars were glass(really lumpy glass from the originals I've seen).
Even though the street car's panels were not hand beaten alloy, but die stamped, I think it was a really wise choice of Ford to opt for alloy skins. I love the Ford GT, but the second gen street car with V-6 does nothing for me, too star warzy in looks and the V-6 just wanders totally from the legendary theme.

both cool cars

freaken' dealer
was trying to get something over on ya'

they sell for good $$$ now, especially low mileage cars
especially auction settings, wit two eager buyers/bidders :poke:
double to (not to rub it in) triple Manufactures Suggested Retail Price
(wasn't it like $149,000 org. ???, plus options, only 4 options available,
I know they probably never sold any of them for that MSRP
)
Gulf livery, paint scheme sometime even more

I actually bought it below sticker, but I sold it at the worst possible time in 2009. But, business dried up and I thought I would be better off with cash on hand instead of sitting in the garage. I thought that anyway.
