1961 Chrysler Newport. The 300 and New Yorker are bigger cars with a little longer wheelbase. The Newport Model was the lowest priced Chrysler created to bridge the gap left when the Desoto brand was discontinued (Desoto was positioned between Chrysler and Dodge in regards to luxary/cost).

I bought my 61 from the 2nd owner who purchased the car in 1966. I found out after I bought it that only 2134 of these convertibles were made in 61 and that only 50 are know to still exist. I didn't buy it because it was rare - I bought it was cool looking and would be fun to cruise in, which we do all the time.

look at those lines!!!! such an awesome looking cruiser. I had a 64 Buick Skylark convertible, black exterior, black top, red guts...455.

Soupene- is your avatar an "Olivia"?

I love her work. Crazy talented and not quite right in the head!!

1974 Roadrunner

Here is My '74 Roadrunner, I have had this car for 30 years and still love it!

is that thing mini-tubbed? like the width on the tires!!:headbang: that interior kills it

X2 Love the seat pattern, carpet and the rest of the white interior.

What intake are you running? Awesome car man!

NOT TUBBED!
the wheel tubs are all original... the wheel is 10" wide and around 11" on the tire and about 30" tall.
I put an "A" body rear end in it and used the mopar spring relocation kit for and "E" body

The interior is also original, I just had to keep the 70's feel that is even shag carpet, which i cannot find to replace.

the intake is an edlebrock TR5 (i think) very old school. I have just replace the intake and went under the hood with a M1.

That sure is a beauty of a Charger, REAL cool avatar...

Nice 74 RR there to, love the way the Carbs sit on it! cool..

Ma Snart i reckon the fins might make them think Batman and Robin, Looks to be one comfy ride headed down the highway, First 61 that ive ever seen a vert.. Nice find..
