That was an Eldorado. If I remember correctly it was a '99. There was a fuel rail recall for the '97 - '99's, and that is the reason why.

Ya looked Caddy to me at first glance, But FoMoCo had a of of electrical recall's that could be flame inducing.

Flames have to be on the right car, and done right. In my humble opinion, the majority.....aren't.

To me , anyone that can apply , is doing okay. We all had inspiration from somewhere to have a cool car even when we could not afford a Nice car like in the magazines. As Ive told my son. You have to start somewhere to go somewhere.

Yep, I understand. I do not want flames on any of my cars, but I can appreciate a nice flame job when I see one.

I saw a beautifully flamed black 57 chevy yesterday on the highway. Liked it a lot, surprising since i dont usually care for flames. Two miles down the road, i saw a late model challenger, an otherwise nice car, with an absolutely hideous stick-on flame job that utterly ruined the car.
Right flames, on the right car, Okay. 90% of the time.....NO!

I agree!!! The work is outstanding! But I never understood the reason for flames in the first place?! Flames in and around a car are almost always something gone wrong? And those flames originate at the front of the vehicle, so what is supposed to be the source? There are quite a few videos on you tube of "exotic" vehicles with flames coming out the exhaust when they rev the engine. But the end of those videos usually shows the car burned to the ground. Even the Willy's shown looks GREAT. But to me it might even look better with out, or some other type of custom paint.

I think the idea is that it's supposed to look like it's going so fast that the heat on the leading edges is causing flames....like when a spacecraft re enters the atmosphere....rather than the engine is on fire! I only like the ones that look like "real" flames...like the one on post 107...not the cartoon like ones on most. I really like the idea of real type flames just a few shades lighter than the colour of the car. Something like this...I've looked into it....very expensive.

Very personal decision, you either like them or you don't but badly done flames look bad no matter who you are.

EDIT....slang is taking over...If you search "bad flame paint"...it gives you really good paintwork....a direct result of the Yoof calling good things bad I would bet!!!
