Trickflow Valve Covers with 1.6 Rockers

Expect a typewriter sound with that set up running Harlan Sharps. If you would have used the Mancini 1.6 rockers made by Harland Sharp you would have almost zero noise. They are not there top of the line but most people love them and have quieter valve trains using them, especially complete roller motors and I am running this set up and my engine is way quieter than my buddy’s who used the top of the line HS rockers.

My recent issue is that I am not getting enough oil pressure that I think is related. Here is the post I recently put out there:

Ok, I didn’t see that but you’re probably still have going to a little noise in that set up. It sounds weird the way you described it but At hot idol, I’m using driven 10w40, my oil pressure is 18-20 and running 2300 rpm cruising on the highway it’s about 38-40.

I’ve installed Trickflow 240 heads with Harland Sharp 1.6 roller rockers.
I think the rockers are just touching my valve covers because there’s a some tapping noise. I’ve been told these rockers shouldn’t make noise so I suspect the rockers might be touching the rockers.
Does anyone have any suggestions for nice valve covers for these heads that will use the PVC valve and breather cap used on a 440 six pack air cleaner base plate?
Try using Moroso valve cover gaskets 93055 they are 3/16" thick heavy duty reusable gaskets they don't leak. Good Luck
