I just got back from a tnt at Island Dragway.
I put the 2" spacer on and ran without the hood.
Couple of things.
First thing was that I wasn't expecting the launch.
I'm not sure what the space had to do with it, but the car pulled the wheels substantially.
Never did that before and I kind of lifted a bit.
It felt fast but only went 9.88 @ 135ish.
I think it needed more jet but I never got to do it.
After feeling I cheated myself on the first pass, I was anxious to get back up and go again.
By the time I got to run again, the dew had moved in.
Next pass the car spun off the line and ran 9.90. Not really sure what that proved to me, but at least without the hood, it didn't stumble on takeoff.
I have a race on Sunday and it's back to the no space setup.
Hopefully I'll get another shot during the day before winter to test again.
