Waking up the beast

Bob, have you done a check on your heads? Wondering how they held up so far. Did you do anything to them after getting them?

The heads are fine. The only thing I did with the heads was change out the valve springs locks and keepers. Also clearanced the intake pushrod tunnels.

Thanks, had heard that was standard replacement stuff, just wanted to confirm that. Was that with 1.6 rockers?

Yes, 1.6 rockers. Also had them ported and had the valve guides checked

Finally starting to get some much needed safety equipment. Now we just need to warm up a bit so I can get back working on the car.
