That's a racers version of a post-it-note

Wednesday........ 50 degrees............ No rain or snow...........Imagine the possibilities!

Finally nice enough out to push the car out today and finish ripping out the dynamat. I know you're stalking me paddled. Heads-up race at Island on 4-4. First race for Nendra. :)

You need a new GTX grille emblem you know. That should be your 1st thing to do. Can I have my Moroso front runners back please?

So I haven't done much to my car over the winter. No room to work in the garage and snow and cold every week since December. I finally had a couple decent days to push it out of the garage and work on it. Because of the lack of work over the winter for me, the car is pretty much remaining stock. I took the interior out and scraped all the dynamat out. took the jute off the back of the carpet, removed the wiper motor, stereo and 8-track player. Replaced the power brake booster/master cylinder with lightweight manual unit. I also relocated the battery to the trunk. The Interior is just about all back in and got fiberglass bumpers to install. That is all I'll be doing. No cage like I originally thought or racing seats. I have come to the conclusion that I just can't afford to go any faster. I will keep the car pretty much stock and do the best that I can with that. I'm pretty sure that I took at least 100 lbs. off the car and I lost 34 lbs. myself over the winter. I'm supposed to have my first race at Island dragway this coming Saturday, but it looks like snow in the AM. That's OK because I probably won't be ready anyway.

I think it's a smart plan, Mr. Tile. Besides, I really wanna see a stock stroke 440 pump gas street car b body hit the 10's this year and between the weight loss and that fancy carby and victor intake, my money is on Mr. Tile and his crew chief, The Amish Wonder.

You just set a new goal for me!

Congrats on the weight loss,
especially your personal weight loss

Will you be able to run without a "roll bar" at-least ?
11.49 is the breaking point ET for mandatory NHRA tech rules

or are you just going to keep it slower than 11.50's, to stay within the NHRA rules ?

I know you went faster than that last season already...

or did I miss something here ?
did you add a roll ball, I didn't see or hear about ?

anyway
Good luck,

Lighter "usually" equates to going quicker...LOL
especially after you get all the new stuff sorted out again...

No bar went in this year. I'll try to make the car faster by weight reduction but will try to keep it at 11.50 at the track.

So, in between raindrops, I was able to get the front and rear fiberglass bumpers installed today. I also have most of the interior back in place an buttoned up. The only thing I have left that I need to do is install the battery kill switch. I won't be ready for the Nendra season opener tomorrow.
I am also contemplating running 11.50 Index races this year. There are about 6 of them at Island Dragway this year. Thought it might be fun competing with similarly built cars.

I'm sorry I won't be able to compete with you in the 11.50 index race this year. That is way too slow for me but maybe Snaggleteeth can. :eek:ops:
Even though I did enter a 11.50 race at Etown one year and win.
