Do you have frame connectors? That car is twisting pretty good. Could be quicker if it wasn't wasting energy trying to bend in half.

At this rate and a few more go fast goodies and suspension upgrades he is going to need a cage... haha.

I decided to keep it street.
A) because of money.
B) because I don't have the heart to cut into it.

If the A) situation changes however, my heart will learn to live with me.
 
Not that, that wasn't good passes, BUT
I'm kind of surprised it didn't go "even quicker yet",
didn't you run a 11:36 last season ? IIRC
with all the weight {both you & the car} loss over the winter,
I figured you'd be knocking on the 10 sec. barrier...

anyway good luck have fun & Happy Moparing

maybe put in a bolt in removable roll-bar,
4-6 pt with a hoop, 2 diagonals in the main hoop & low door bars maybe
it'd help to stiffen the car, make a few track tech guys happier too,
it wouldn't be "really NHRA tech legal" but safer,
better for belt/harness attachment points too...

I put some of the weight back in. I thought I was going to gut and put a bar in, but didn't go that route. The other thing is that I have a "stock" distributor in it now. The last outing last year, my firecore dizzy disinegrated. i had recurved that one. This one is stock. I have a little tuning to do, but the weight loss wasn't as much as I was speculating. Except mine of course :)

I'm not worried about the bar part. If I were going to put one in, I wouldn't waste my time with a bolt-in one. I would like to get some sort of harness in there though.
 
I've read your whole thread, really enjoyed it. I am hoping this year at age 50 to start my racing career. My car is coming together nicely. I hope to get her in the 12's and would be happy with that. Thanks again for giving me motivation.
 
Yeah we all say that to start with :headbang: Then it's just like Bobtile a little more, a little more till next thing you know, what I need a roll bar! Good luck this year at the track & have fun!
