What did you do to your Mopar today?

Didn't want to scare anyone. Rear is the A side for sure.
Looks like a Ford 9" walking between the cars.....

Been using my car as a storage shelf lately but cleaned it all off and removed everything that was under it and hope to get back to work on it soon once the honey do stuff is done....but it seems like HD crap is never done.

The headliner was pre-made. I ordered it from Classic Industries and I believe it was $189. Also note that it went on back order and I waited 6 weeks for it, so order early! It is possible the wait was because this was for my 4 door. Oh, and I paid $300 for installation, but that included repair and upholstery on my arm rests as well.

Pulled the c-pillar chrome trim from the Belvedere[major pain]. Can't open the fill-plug on the 8 3/4 in the `cuda. It's all but destroyed, and I see this turning difficult and expensive. What a PISSER!!!
Dude, that sucks! That is like having a soft plug fail between the engine or trans....or even worse, dropping a carb nut down the carb just after you finished an engine rebuild! Any chance of drilling and using an easy-out? Definitely a PISSER no matter how you look at it!

Over the weekend: installed a transmission, trans cooler lines, radiator, starter, swapped differentials, and fitted electric fans on the daily beater.

I'm looking at replacing a soft plug between the engine and trans on my 2000 Durango. Been dealing with it for a good while now since the trans is still working like it always has since new. Only 98k miles on it. Hate to pull a good working trans :(

Dang dude! You had a lot of energy! Good work!!!
He must be a youngen lol

I actually loaded the car, and am taking it to my fab guy, tomorrow. He has a couple ideas, but says I'm probably correct in assuming the pig will have to come out. GRRRRRRRRRR. It's all so pretty and sealed up so nice. I did the nut into the intake once. I bent the hell outta my telescopic magnet, went fishing, and got it out. The aluminum heads and intake helped.

Finally put my foot down, (just joking) and went out to the garage this morning. Cranked up the air-conditioner and set to work on the Beleveder. The brake lights were staying on at times, so I adjusted the switch under the dash, no mean feat. I pulled the defroster hoses out of the way, and that made it easier. Next I had four LED lamps and two flashers. I replaced all four lamps, installed the flashers and nothing. Had voltage as they worked before the new lamps, but nothing. I had bought the "corncob" type lamps for the rear, but my mistake, I left the lights on when I changed the bulbs, and shorted both of them out, upon insulation. I put the original bulbs back in the rear, reinstalled the original flashers. I left the LEDs in front, and all four flashed. Note to self: Buy new lamps for the rear. I then replaced to original fuel pump (318 engine), as I will be doing some cruising this summer. This pump cost fifteen bucks through NAPA, so it was worth it for reliability sake. The down side was, I had taken the alternator to a local shop for bearings and brushes. However, the top of the new fuel pump was higher than the original, and then alternator would not swing low enough, to put the original belt back on. Another trip to NAPA for a longer belt and I was finished with the mechanical work. I drove her out front, and washer her, cleaned the windows and dash. Tonight is a weekly cruise in on the other side of town. My son and I will be attending. The next thing on the agenda is to install the 8 3/4. I have 15/8s rear steel wheels for the rear, from Classic Industries, but the 15/7s are back order for the front. So I can't put the disk brakes on yet as I have no wheels. I suppose it will look pretty goofy, with 14" white walls on the front, and big black wall tires on the back, cruising around. Hmmmmm.

I did take the 63 for a drive...a 5.0 mustangGT wanted to play with the "Grandpa Car"

So..he had it 'tricked out, noisey, mufflers . black wheels, & etc....

he gunned it at the light , I just sat there.....he waited 'till I pulled a bit foward.....YES, I gunned it, hit a gear or 2 pulled passed him then I quit..........he zoomed passed me!...he won!//lol......

I embarrassed the **** out of the guy...
BTW; it did feel good...

I also have 15x7 on back order from Classic Industries, hope they come through soon! I really like that you take your son to events, how old is he? Does he seem to be catching the Mopar bug? I don't think the car will look goofy, I think it will look pretty kickass....hey, at least you are out there representing!!!

Got the fill-plug outta the `cuda today. A big nut tig-welded to the plug, and a 3 ft. cresent wrench to get it to move. A least it didn't require dissection.

Good work mmissle! Now when you lay your head on the pillow tonight, you will get restful sleep!

Thanks, and Yup..... That could have been an awful job. Now I can advance on the assembly.

At the end of his driveway....

Gotta thank my friend Ernie[MOTOFAB] for taking time to do this.

I'm adding an audio system, and decided to make door pockets with a speaker base. I haven't made the jump to cut a hole in my door, but I'm thinking I may have to cut at least a small one at some point. These pockets/covers will get upholstered when I can find the right material.

I'd suggest getting a spare set of kick panels, even faded ones, and cutting and painting those.

MUCH less permanent of a modification.

(however, those look nice and also well constructed- good job)

Thanks... there isn't any depth for kick panel speakers, and then there's the parking brake right there. Having the speaker there on a 3/4-inch panel, I can get away with only cutting a hole the size of the magnet, so I might just do that so it's a smaller hole instead.

I got my coronet out into the sun today.---I met a mopar guy at an automotive paint store and we chatted about our cars.
That's all I needed to start it and make it do what they were made for.
