What did you do to your Mopar today?

I feel bad I didn't do chit, Pops is on a road trip, I'm just lounging around,
it's kind of nice doing nothing...
But it's actually cool here too for this time of year hi-70's*-low-80's*,
usually in the hi 90's @ min.
But we don't get the horrid humidity, like many of you guys do...

I will be doing some brake & suspension stuff on both my car & truck
sometime this month...
Procrastination at it's best...LOL

Been busy helping my neighbor teaching him some stuff restoring sort of
working, just a few customizations, on his 68 Jeep CJ-5, does that count....LOL

Going to Oakdale with him Wed. to get the tub interior covered in bed liner,
the Burnt orange color tinted too...
Then back to the house, start on the electrical & finish the stuff we were doing
before he took the frame/rolling chassis, engine, trans, drivelines etc.
& fuel system, that we converted over to AN stuff, added rear aux. fuel tank too,
then took it all down to the body shop in Oakdale, that use to be his fathers,
where the body was mounted, core support & rad., lights, hood, fenders & windshield...
We'll do the custom Stewart Warner 6 gauge panel, in dash that we made &
wire that all up, along with the rest, when it get back here in Sonora...

IT's a Pretty Burnt Orange Poly Mopar Color too...

Last weekend I purtied up the steering box and replaced the "hockey puck" steering biscuit with a "made in Check Republic" regulation "hockey puck".

Tidied up my garage bench a lot by removing a bunch of trophies into long-term storage crates.

I drove mine as well, for the first day since it was a wonderful day today on Cape Cod.

Didn't today, but a few weeks back I took the rear end out of my 65 Coronet. My brother is going to trim an inch each side and rebuilt it. I've pulled off the super stock springs and cleaned them up and putting in new bushing. I'm trying to decide if I should paint them or maybe clear them.

Yeah, can you believe that!. My brother thinks they were some of the last ones made here. I can't wait to finally get this on the road. Hopefully in time for Mopars at the Red Barns show.

Well, they are Canadian....so still not domestic, but better for sure.

Super Bee and I were outnumbered but NOT outclassed in the City of Gold!

Bored out the primaries on the old 2x4 manifold to match the spacers that I'm useing. Used a discarded carb base to keep things aligned.

Then mocked up the 600s and spacers. Now to get it blasted and paint...

For the 2 weeks in a row I drove 60 miles to the drag strip, raced and then drove back home. And 2 weeks in a row was unbeatable.

Sweet!

I made the decision to switch to DOT5 brake fluid and ordered new M/C, calipers, wheel cylinders, and rubber lines. I''l brakleen and vacuum pump the steel lines and fittings.

Please keep us informed how that works out for you. If your old brake fluid is rusty, I would put new brake lines on...........................MO

Old fluid is fine but I've had two master cylinders leak out the back seal and ruin the cad plate on the booster and take the paint off the firewall. all in less than 10K miles.

New M/C is Wagner. Hope it's better.
