What did you do to your Mopar today?

Drove it to the local Circle K and pumped ten bucks of gas into her. Bought a can of Coke and a lottery ticket. Yeah, I like to drive it every where. I did however clean the garage today. Back on the car Monday.

Well I've been welding on my 47 Buick . But I did have uninvited guest in my parts box's for my 74 so sunroof car. The rats tore everything they could up. The parts for that car were so nice the car only has 67xxx org documented miles and it was garage kept car the wiring harness looked like a brand new one ,not anymore I tallied up about $400 -$500 in damaged parts I now need to order when I get to the sunroof car. So I reorganized my parts and put them in plastic tubs with lids and hopefully that helps I found the baby rats she just had so I got rid of the Future incursions. Back to welding on the Buick again tomorrow

I am in the process of gathering parts for a suspension rebuild. Torsion bars arrived today, leaf springs showed up yesterday, and before that a front end rebuild kit along with assorted bushings, etc.....Gonna have a friend do the work as he has a shop and a son who is interested and wants to earn some money. Yeah! an 18 year old kid actually willing to work to earn money.....that is so weird, right????? I am also waiting on steel wheels from Classic Industries as I plan to go from the slotted mags back to steel wheels after the suspension work is completed.

Looked intently at the Coronet for a few minutes. But, me and the Imperial had a nice weekend together! Went to a company car show Saturday morning and had fun. Today, we went to the dairy storeand got milk and ice cream. Top down, clear blue skies, and nice cruising weather!

Went to a car show on Harsen's Island on Saturday. It was a 1st annual, and they had a great turn-out. I'm guessing it was 100-120 cars. You have to take a ferry across to the island. Anyways, we got there at 7am, and left at 2:30. My buddy and I won trophies[stock and modified b-bodies], but left before the awards. That's twice, this year. Both times, I don't display the info card for it to be judged....but some shows do anyways. The weather was great. A little overcast and high 70's.

7am and chilly at the ferry ramp.

Washed her, vacuumed the floors then cleaned the windows. Then the son and I participated in a charity car show. Around two grand donated, between the registration fee and and 50/50 raffle. The charity was for autism, next show is in August.

Installed my 3" TTI exhaust. Fit very well, just had to cut about a inch off 2 of the pipes.

Started trying to figure out how to unbend the new brake lines. Also disassembled and blasted/ wire brushed a brake booster. Tried mixing silver galvanizing and gold paint with battery protector, Looks like just the battery protector is a better match to the factory cad plate.

In the next to last pic, the back half of the booster has been wire brushed below the plane of the mounting studs. That part is still factory finish, the rest has been sprayed with krylon battery protector.

It's awfully close. The front half has been sprayed with rust-fix and then battery protector. It's fairly well pitted. If I was redoing all of it, the gold/solver mix might be OK, but I think I will blast the front again, and try just the battery protector.

Patiently waiting for Innercity Lines to deliver my GTX tomorrow afternoon all the way from Minnesota. It'll be the first time I've had the X at MY home since I stored it and left MN in 1981. Long story - but I'm excited to get my baby back living with me. Time to relearn all the things I've forgotten over the years. She's fully restored and ready for the road!
