did a little clean out on my new toy ! anyone have one of theses 440 1972 Ralley chargers out there ? looking for production numbers on these cars thank's !!

Yesterday, I pulled out the 2 different sets of stainless dog dish hubcaps for my '70 Dart, {I own a 66 Satellite too} and realized one set was much duller, so I got out a 1/2 drill with buffer on it and was able to polish enough to be OK. Car is a driver so didn't have to be to picky. Just had the wheels painted F8 green, and the look was to my satisfaction. Just about time to put away for winter storage. Can't wait to move to N. Carolina some day and drive the old car all year!!

Today I cut out the crumpled left front corner of the radiator shell from the two square stamped holes around to the lip and down to the frame. I separated the panel from the inner fender sheet and fabbed up a hunk of 18 gauge to replace it. Will do the right side once I buy more welding wire.

Changed the master cylinder. Cleaned scotch guarded and touched up the missing paint from the old one leaking. Now to replace the exhaust sometime soon.

Installed a real cigarette lighter socket that has a solid, always ON 12v so I can have a smoke AND charge a phone at more than a trickle charge.

That doesn't look too bad....
Not terrible, there are a couple of patches on the passenger front but overall ok. I got a killer deal on 72 sq ft of dynamat extreme, so it led me to redoing the interior. My car is originally T7 bronze with white interior, white seats long gone before I got the car. Gonna keep it simple and do black seats for now but will eventually do a custom white interior when I get there.

Scotch guard on painted metal?

Interesting.

Had to put a new oil pressure sender/switch in the Jeep Commander. The original, being down low and up front corroded and would trigger the oil light when it got warm. Fortunately, I had many years ago purchased the Miller tool to remove oil pressure senders with the long molded electrical plugs on them. None of my regular sender sockets were deep enough to clear the plug and still engage the flats on the side of the sender. That Miller socket had been sitting unused for so long, I forgot I had it.

Men everywhere applaud you for keeping a tool because..." Someday i'll need that SOB."

Interesting.
I meant the green pads I have a brain fart on the name. I used it to remove anything and clean the surface where the paint will stick. Maybe scotch bright. dang now I know someone reads what I write.

Was looking at the rear lid after I had sanded it down to metal, wondering what I was going to do about the ragged rear edge and the underside area that needed to be fabbed to rest on the trunk seal. I happened to glance into the corner of the garage and saw a hunk of the old rear deck that I had removed but not tossed yet. I grabbed it and turned it upside down and the edge that came up was perfect for what I needed. So I clamped a straight edge and sliced it off. After welding it up it fits perfectly. Now I need to sit inside the trunk and see what I need to do about the seal runner on the bottom side of the deck lid.

It would be more accurate to say customizing the factory harness. I Started with a complete 98 Ram and have it down to just the drivetrain related components in the harness. I have been slowly depinning the factory connectors and rebundling the remaining essential wires to go through the bulkhead behind the engine. The other side is going to 2 Bussman fuse/relay panels that replace the entire factory power distribution center and junction block. CAN communications are still functional, as it the entire Ram instrument cluster. There are a total of 30 wires that remain and will pass through those bulkhead connectors. The remaining connections will be used for things like the lights and wipers rather than the OEM bulkhead connector.

Impressive- you could start a business that way!

This is something I am going to have to do on my project. I'm using a complete 2006 Audi A6 sedan dash/console/interior in my 67 Coronet.
