What did you do to your Mopar today?

Went for a test drive and the Bilstein shocks are very squishy compared to the KYB shocks but I will not be going through the hassle of changing back anytime soon.

Changing shocks was much easier in a shop with a lift than in the garage on your back.

Got a 12V starter for my '55 Plymouth project but it had the wrong nose on it and it wouldn't slip into the bellhousing. So, I switched the nose off the '55 6V starter on to it and was able to get it installed.

Love when that happens, got my shipped email from summit yesterday on my back ordered LCAs

Replaced the water pump in the '71 Charger trying to get rid of a terrible screech at about 3,000 rpm. Now, the noise doesn't start until almost 4,000 rpm and isn't as bad. At this point, it might be belt squeal. I'll have to get some belt dressing and try that before I switch out the power steering pump.

Added some more of the small stuff to the engine. I had to go over to my engine builder's place today. That's about 2 hours each way....so it ate up most of the day. Need to order some more parts tonite...

Sitting beside her....even touched her and told her that I still loved her......

Getting quotes to restore my trunk finish panel. I can have it chromed at Advance Plating for $1800 to $2200. But they don't do paint. So, I would have to do it myself.

I called Leanna (Cudachick) and she told me about Dana Price in Oregon who worked on her Cuda tail panel. Waiting for the quote to work the dents out and polish and paint.

Did you hear back from Dana?? He's had his hands full lately with his best friend in the VA Hospital. I hope he works out for you! I enjoyed the chat doll -- thanks for thinking of me.

Yes, I sent him photos and talked to him on the phone. He turned me down. He said the dent was too bad and was afraid it would crack.

So, I found a guy nearby that polishes aluminum and stainless. I took it to him for fixing and polishing to a chrome finish. He convinced me that maintaining polished aluminum was easier than anodized. But, I'll still need the black part powdered. I'll send you some photos of the dent when I get it back.

Started the process of touching up the paint chips. I'll have a review of the kit I bought when I'm done.

Took my wife for a ride to the dollar store.

...now that the sand sifting in to the passenger compartment has subsided a bit.

Changed the oil/filter in this guy and then cranked it up to hear a rod knock. :BangHead: (I haven't started it in a year.)
I was going to take it to a Pinewood Derby for the Cub Scouts in Camden NJ, but I had to take the Barracuda instead. The cub scouts loved sitting in the convertible and their parents captured the moments on their cell phones. I got lost in Camden and the police told me to leave the bad neighborhood that I got into. The right place was still a bad neighborhood though too. It was worth it just to see the smiles on the kids' faces. But let me say that driving around in a convertible with the top down in a very bad neighborhood is not too cool. One guy told me I could keep my car because he thought it looked cool.
