What did you do to your Mopar today?

Plumbed the master cylinder/distribution valve and out to the front wheels on the '55 Plymouth.

Looks like my steering input shaft seal replacement was successful.

Now I'm working on getting as much rust as I can off the underside of my Roadrunner hood.

Combination of grinding, sanding, blasting and going to try Evaporust for the underside of the skin.

The absolute best way to take paint and all rust off of parts that have inner structure ( hood-trunk etc.) is with a total submersion chemical stripping company . They will come out looking like new metal.............................MO

...and now replacing the fuel pump, instead of replacing the rear stabilizer bar bushing I went shopping for.

Was having some mid-RPM stumbling.

Thought accelerator pump- touched it and the e clip flew off.

Heard it banging off a few things on the way down- never to be seen again.

Was across from Lowes, so limped in...and they had them! $1.27 plus tax for two.

Put it on- not the best design. still stumbling and getting worse. Fuel in clear filter ???

Idled home (trying to say the least- and throttle and stall) and very little fuel in filter.

Had one on another engine- looked new, but zero fuel in filet after a dozen primes.

Guess I'll buy a new, new one.

Hood came out OK for a driver but is riddled with thin metal and pin holes.

had to make a corner out of JB weld.

It'lL do for a while.

Got back in the shop and was able to spend a couple hours fighting with blending this panel patch in the car . . .

This is where I patched in the driver side quarter panel - and fixed a badly rusted area at the same time . . .

One step at a time - it's getting closer . . .

Finally getting back to the front disk brake conversion. I decided to try the Evaporust myself since the blast cabinet I usually have access to isn't available. I'm impressed with the stuff. I first bought a gallon of it and did my UCA. Then bought a 3.5 gallon bucket w/basket and did the LCA. Rinsed really well and dried the UCA and sprayed with some etching primer. Haven't had a chance to paint the UCA. Hopefully you can see how clean the UCA came out.

Couple questions: I saw a couple videos from one of our vendors, P-S-T. It was mentioned that the threads in the UCA can get worn out and I'm concerned that mine may be getting pretty worn. How can I figure out for sure if they are getting too worn to be using the UCA? Is it ok to reuse the Ubolts that I cleaned up for the rear end? They may also be original to the car.

I recently rebuilt my uca's with poly bushings and new ball joints, for me I couldn't really tell if the threads were worn it was hard to see so I just started torquing them in and it caught and got nice and tight all the way to 100 ft lbs I think it was? Don't quote me on that

Absolutely can reuse the bolts as long as the threads are still good, I cleaned up almost all the old hardware and reused it

I'll give the Evap-o-rust a "C" for sheet metal.

It was a bitch to try to cover the rusted areas with a soaked paper towel and then plastic, as the directions say. Then the curvature of the hood came in to play as well.

I did several areas and it looks like one, maybe two got any rust removal effect at all.

It did clean up an area that I partially sand blasted fairly well.

I'm sure it works better if the parts are totally immersed, but I won't use it for sheet metal again.

It's all structurally sound, all major welding done, it's off to the rotisserie and let the fab work begin...

Threw on the front sway bar I picked up when I ordered my wheels a few months back...man did it really improve the ride. I should have done it sooner.
