we for a test drive. was good.

just going to do ammeter bypass and drive for a while

Is that before or after the primer??? That looks awesone!
The lower was bare as in this pic. The upper had been spray with rattle can etching primer. I wish I could have kept what was left of the greem marking on the end of the adjuster. I also found the orange on the ends of the ubolts. I did put tape on those and we'll see if they hold up.

I've been too busy driving the car to get much work done on it ,but I managed to replace my neutral safety switch harness and added downturns to my electric cutouts.

Got in a wrestling match with a front to back stainless 3/8" fuel line. I got the upper hand!

Front part wasn't bent too bad, rear was a good match. Overall length was a bit long. By the way, those aftermarket 3/8" clips are junk. Made up my own clamps and used 5/16" self tapping body bolts in the holes where the clips go. Just don't over tighten.

Ordered another $3000 worth of new parts thanks to my neon selling ! Wish I could of used all the funds on the charger but wife said other stuff needs attention too!

If you drill a very small hole where you want the screw. Then take nail that's size of shaft of screw at base of threads enlarge the hole with the nail. It pushes a dimple on other side so it has more metal to thread on.

I cleaned up the barn/shop and started to organize my tools. Also got some parts in the mail!

Also hammered my floor pan into submission to straighten it out. Had a huge upwards dent from somebody lifting the car with a floorjack in the wrong location.

Not all today, but recently : New Hughes engines rear main seal kit.( don't pay any attention to a certified mechanic that has a different way other than what Hughes says. It was a " do over" on his dime) fixed leaks in steering sector, fix gas leak on new 3/8" fuel gauge sender. Had new heavy duty rear leaf springs made, and we installed them. Currently design and build fresh air ducting from inner headlights, through inner fenders, and connect to the dual inlets on the air cleaner. Just now ordered 275 / 60 / R15 Nitto street DOT drag radials. $289 pair free shipping from Jegs. Deliver on or before May 15. I think now, I better get a driveshaft loop installed !!.....................................MO

This thread is a great motivator to do something each day, no matter how small.

Last night, I stabbed the car onto the frame table.

I have a pair also. Read they shouldn't sit in one place for a long time? How long I don't know. I moved them a couple of times a week so they don't get flat spots. Put car on jack stands for winter. I'll be watching for other comments, I like to know other opinion's.

Had 2.5" exhaust with Flowmaster Delta 50 series muffles installed on the 71 SSP. No H-pipe yet... like the current sound.

I have never heard that. I would like to more about that possible issue. .............................MO

Did some more research on flat spots. The bias ply tires are more of a problem getting them.
Fired up my Satellite today. Let electric pump fill carbs hit the key and a few pumps of gas pedal started right up. Then went back to the BS. Running gas out of snow blower and changing oil in blower and lawn mower.

I would still be careful. Several years ago a friend asked me to put a set of rims and tires in my garage sale. A couple days later he told me the women had them put on her vehicle and them discovered the radial tires had indeed flat spotted. I don't know how long they had been sitting but I know they were not laid flat and stacked like they should have been.
