What did you do to your Mopar today?

I would still be careful. Several years ago a friend asked me to put a set of rims and tires in my garage sale. A couple days later he told me the women had them put on her vehicle and them discovered the radial tires had indeed flat spotted. I don't know how long they had been sitting but I know they were not laid flat and stacked like they should have been.
Mine spent the winter on j stands. They don't like UV or fluorescent lights and near electric motors because they release ozone. I'll still move the often no sense taking a chance.

I started refinishing the interior of the 1955 Plymouth in preparation for installing a headliner. That's on hold until this weird cold, wet weather system moves out. Most of this will be covered by trim, but, to avoid any of the old blue peaking out somewhere, I just coated all the structure. Inside the rear most pillar there's a lot of filler. I guess something heavy slammed into it at some point over the last sixty years. I thought about digging it out and cleaning it up, but the area is mostly hidden behind the upper tailgate hinge.

Finally got the last piece of the puzzle for my wilwood 4 wheel disc conversion. 7/8" bore master cylinder

Leveled and releveled the frame table and car. Going to sleep on it before locking anything down.

Been looking for trunk drops for my 66. Not going to paint it yet but if I get the 1/4 panel rust fixed there won't be much repair work left if I do paint it. Talked to a salvage yard on the phone that has a few clean cars.

I know the old nylon tires would get a flat spot from sitting, especially in cold weather. Drive them a ways and when they got warmed up, the flat spot would go away. ...............................MO

I got busy with the right side of the roadster panel for behind the bucket seats. Lot of curves and angles. Once it's all pieced together I'll use a small amount of body filler to smooth out the joints so the fabric will not show the bumps. Once I get the left side on I'll cut a panel for the middle section with the dropped center and tack on bracing to give it strength.

Keep On Rock'n :)

Finished taking apart that 78' 440 short block with 25 K on it. It came from a motor home and with no ring ridges in any cylinder, so I'm pretty sure the mileage is true. The oil pan was heavily sludge-d up and the timing chain was pretty sloppy. But the piston showed no burnt oil carbon in the ring grooves, so I'm sticking with the original set of rings. The main bearings were good, but one rod bearing was showing the bronze shell through the babbit material. The other rod bearings probably could be used, but I think all new bearings would be a safe bet. The cam bearings were another matter. There was what looked like gouges in the babbit material. Those to will be replaced. I loaded the block and heads up and will drop them at the machine shop Monday.
In the mean time I'll clean up the internal parts, and inspect them, and mike the crank. Right now money is a little tight, so it maybe fall before I get a cam, lifters and timing chain. Fall is always the best time to do a tear down. I have an inner left fender to replace, due to a rust hood hinge mount. Good time to paint the engine compartment to.

Sounds oil changes every 2/3 years whether it need it or not. Sound like good engine though.

Had to make room in the garage for the wife's truck to be repaired. Ugh!
Tight squeeze but there both out of the weather.

It did give me an idea, add a 16'x10' shed off the back, cut a doorway through the wall making a great place to move all the tools and things giving me an open workable 16' x 20' pad for two cars. Brian, if you zoom in on the pic of the car those tires and rim are on the car. He had them on the very next day, thanks again, you made his week!
