What did you do to your Mopar today?

Finally got the steering wheel back on the '55 Plymouth.

That's an awfully modern looking dash in that 55.

Maybe it's the radio...

Did you buy the rear sway bar to match? That would go a long way toward solving your tire rub issue.

Disassembled the disc brakes for the front of the Express. They were very rusty and difficult to get apart but it's done. Clean the arms up and get new rotors and calipers and set them aside for later.

Picked up a good used three row radiator and fan shroud from a 70' today, from a guy West of Detroit. I really agonized over going with aluminum. But since I want the car to look as original as possible, the factory radiator will look much better.

Took the scoop off, and cut for the crossram setup. 1/2" more clearance, and it would have been just the initial cuts. I'll fill-in the front and rear opening from the tunnel-ram.

Moved the dash and heat/ac/console all out of the way to do some welding on the inside edges of the smooth firewall.

Cut open the fuel tank vent manifold, drilled out the stuck two way check valve, welded in a patch and jb welded over that to seal- whew.

Put the fuel system back on and took it for a drive.

Did not exhibit "the problem" I've been chasing- yay!

Now I have a trans fluid leak. Looks like it might be the converter seal- boo.

Made aluminum fillers for the hood.... Not air-tight, but good enough for the time-being. The glass hood will be scrapped, next year.
