What did you do to your Mopar today?

Paul didn't know about your pops, we'll keep him in our prayers for a speedy recovery and total remission. Take care!
Yeah, it's been ongoing since the first of the year. Glad to be over with chemo. He'll probably get another blood transfusion Tuesday. If we can just get his blood straight I think he will start to fell better. We really appreciate the prayers!

Went ahead and bought a few other pieces...

Front disc brake conversion is finally done. Now I need to run the new stainless steel lines and figure out the proportioning valve. My brother had a dual master cylinder for me. Have to figure out how to take that out the old single and see if the dual needs an adapter. My brothers hernia surgery went well and he has a checkup today. I'm hoping to get with him soon and he can talk me through putting the rearend back together. Slowly getting closer to being able to drive it.

Update - Turns out the drivers side bearing died, hoping the spindle is ok. They are inspecting the passengers side as well.

I'll title this one: Highway Blues...

Had plans to meet up with an old friend & his wife today to show off the car. He has a 78 Vette. Got up early mounted my broken door mirror by affixing it with a big glob of steel putty & siliconed it in, felt great to now have it on. Detailed the car and took a shower.

Headed out & filled up with gas and got onto the highway. 20mins later going down a big hill had a funny shudder on the left front tire but seemed to go away & figured it was the uneven pavement. Continued for a bit then heard a grinding noise. Pulled over & looked under the hood & under the car but didn't see anything. Got back in a drove about a 1/4 mile & it started up again but now I could feel something grinding. Pulled over & called Haggerty for a flatbed. To add insult to injury somewhere in all of this one of my hood turn signal lenses dropped out along the highway & now need to get a new set....

Called the shop that had been working on the car (good thing I kept the guy's cell #) 2hrs later met him at the shop and headed here for a few cold ones & food. BOY did this beer rock! Great Brewery if your in the area! Stratford had a big Corsair (Chance Vought) plant here during the war.

To be continued....

Prayers to your pops and everyone else involved. Beat the snoot out of that damn cancer.

Been collecting lots of parts for most of July. Suspension, Steering, chassis and body stiffening, with some engine accessory changes.

June and July...

Got under the rear end and was going to cut and paste the rear shackle mounts for the relocation and discovered that I didn't have the two U shaped brackets with the two holes in each or the two bushings to weld in place on them. I guess when I bought the kit from whomever on here I didn't get the whole kit. Now what?

Ordered some parts from Tony @ B/E & A! Great guy!

Ordered a new spindle & bearings from Master Power Breaks. Discovered the previous owner bought the Legend Series conversion kit for the front (drum to disc) on the car. Was able to get a copy of the invoice from the shop that installed them (they wrote the company's name on the back of the booster - Smart idea!). Got a LOT of info as to what they did to the car back in 2015.

Hey Ghost,
I see mancini racing has them on sale/reduced. http://www.manciniracing.com/rearsprinmou.html

Day 3 of re wire might go a little slow as wife is on vacation and it appears that I have a list today! Dooooh!

But question for you guys...now this car will never see bad weather and never really need heat. Now would be the time to pull the heater box and make some more room. Thoughts and opinions on pulling it. Anything come up after pulling that wasn't thought of before?

Jury is out and haven't really decided yet

Thanks

Gets cold and wet in Maine . If you pull it you will have some firewall holes and open down draft cowl buckets to deal with. Getting ready to drive to shows in the spring and fall will be frustrating because of defrost/ defog issues too.

I've thought about the same thing, mine was removed from it's days of drag racing. One point I keep coming back to is that in the spring and fall sometimes at night the windows will fog up. For that reason I'm going to install an aftermarket one that has defrost, with capability of running ac ( future)...

I think I'm convinced to keep the heater box in as long as I've got the needed parts to get it up and running. With the electrical the way it was, it never worked or even hinted to work so we'll see what we actually have.

Worked on the dash and new instruments from auto meter. Killed me though because the dash kit I found out is just an overlay and I need the original metal part of the dash cluster. The new gauges won't fit the original way so I spent several hours fabricating some way to make new gauges fit it. Wasn't happy but no other way..pics little dark but the wrecking of the dash is too clear!
