What did you do to your Mopar today?

Nice job. Did you cut the area under the hood for the air box? If so, will you post some photos, please?
Thanks. I'm still in the process of locating one. As soon as I start the process, I'll get some pictures up.

Got the trunk work area into primer. Still a lot of patching and filling to go. But at least it wont rust for the next few weeks. Just about done back there now. Move onto the side scoops and the new Pontiac door handles next. Anything to forestall bodywork...lol.

I bought my refreshed original air box from Rod Glaser at GSW Restoration in Ozark, Missouri.

He is 1970 Roadrunner on FBBO but has not been on recently.

I like those side scoops.

Interested to see those door handles.

I always liked those on my friend's 69 GP with the 65 421.
Green with primer spots circa 1985.

What I plan to do is remove the center lever/ pull handle and see what the thickness is of the rear part with the ridges. If it goes down in there enough i'll slice off the ridged section making the piece long and flat like a tiny surf board. sorta. paint it all body color and sink it 1/4" into the door skin. Smoooth. We shall see. I need to get one in my hand or a mechanical exploded drawing to see what the shapes are..
Thanks. The side scoops was an idea I got from the Imposter Impala by Chip Foose. Once shaped and finished they should all match and look great.

Finished up getting color on the hood and deck lid, guess all the hard parts done...

Put 50/50 of sencromesh and dextron (both royal purple) in my 4 speed, then drove it for 2 hours, shifts great and i am now medium rare.

Got replacement extensions from hemidon1 and set about marking up where I'll need to cut out. The remainder will be fiber glassed in with the needed contours for the Thunderbird tail light ends. There needs to be a 3/8ths inch space for the tail light lens edges/ trim edges all around. Kicking myself for accidentally tossing out the original extensions. sigh.

Mine has turned into a workbench.

I cleaned it off last night and fired it up.
I am now having problems with the Chinese Orange ignition module.
I was thinking about the FBO unit.

Making the inserts (walls) for the extensions, cutting out the sections that will be rebuilt to accept the Thunderbird lights.

Another place to hide drugs:thumbsup:
LOL! I know, right? There's a small triangle section below the tail light base inside the trunk that runs the length of the back end. Plenty of room and you would have to disassemble the car to get to it.

Well, I said to myself, " Self, the spray foam expanding did well on the door panels, why would it not work here too?"
So I put up plastic, because it peels away after the foam is dry, and mounted the extension in place. Rigged up a blocking panel for the empty space at the end and placed the fabricated walls in place with a shaped board in the middle to hold it in place correctly. Filled the voids with foam. We shall see. Hopefully it will give me a solid base over which to lay speaker fabric impregnated with fiberglass resin...the same way they make shaped speaker boxes for door panels... Stay tuned.

I tried to get my 3 speed wiper motor going, in my 69 Roadrunner, but the wiring is very brittle. Does anyone know where this loose plug with the black and purple wires connects to? They are part of the wiper motor pig tail plug.
