What did you do to your Mopar today?

I'd never have trouble using a Wix. To me they're one of the better ones out there. I don't really know why a K&N would increase your oil pressure though.

Well I learned something new today: that oil filters, even good ones like Wix and K&N, can be bad out of the box. It sounded ridiculous to me, but I swapped filters and all was well again. Who knew? I've wrenched on my cars for years and this is a first. But wix doesnt need to worry, my other cars use their filters happily...

I brought her home from the paint shop!!

I got the windshield washer working. Now just waiting for the new plastic reservior to come it and I'm in business. Also put in an FM signal booster. A little less static but still a 1965 radio.

Installed oil pressure sender and valve cover bolts on the 360 magnum in the 67 Coronet. Also got the correct size converter to flexplate bolts. Started raining so no further progress. (Friday)

Dodged an $8,000 repair bill, or whatever it costs to rebuild a motor these days, for now, on my 440 by beating a low oil pressure situation. I've always used K&N oil filters but thought I could save a few pennies with a Wix. I mean, I use Wix on all of my other cars, but I guess the charger didn't like it...
Maybe missed post but what went wrong with the Wix filter? Just switched to them.

Drove it about 105,600 feet this morning (sounds better than 20 miles!) just cruising around town. ...running great!
Gonna be 106 again today so I get my drives in the morning and evenings. ....

Got my drivers door on and had to shim the lower hinge as the door would not hang level at all without them. Passenger door didn't need any...

New bumper in, good quality from AMD.

Much better for the chin spoiler, holes close to a perfect match to bolt right on, there's enough play with the supplied hardware to adjust and tighten.

I've been sitting on that part for at least 1.5-2 years, feels good to finally get it on the car once the bumper brackets arrive Monday.

Procar buckets still inbound...
