Installed the new windshield washer reservoir, pump, and inlet filter.
Fired it up and drove it around the block - let the motor warm up and then put it away.
Going to replace the headlight switch tomorrow and take off the fuel filler neck - will post pictures on that part of the project - ran across something interesting....

I went for a good long 2 hour drive on some country roads around the Fenton area. Then I topped it off just before taking it home. It took 12 gallons. The mileage isn't the best but that's OK, even stopping for gas can be an adventure. This time I set off the alarm in some Beemer parked in front of me ha ha ha.

Helped install new seat covers in my brother's 66 Satellite.

Never done that before and was kind of intimidated.

Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

Mine should be in transit, and arriving any day.

Saturday spent several hours moving parts and taking pictures and did little scraping on the 440.

Sunday I unloaded parts, smashed the heck out of my finger, then spent a few MORE hours scraping 45 years of oily grime and paint off the 440. Not done by a long shot. I'll be so glad when the 'cleaning' part of this 'build' is done and I can get to the bolting it back together stage. At least the front end of the car that is. Next is the rear suspension, fuel, and exhaust.

I told the wife I need to bring that old parts washing station home to this garage .. she seemed OK with the idea. So next time I go to the storage areas I'm bringing that old sucker back here!

Took pictures

I went over to see the engine builder and take photos of the engine going into my 75 Doba. The 400 has been blue-printed and warmed over. Compression ratio is 9.3 to 1. It should put out an estimated 350 horsepower and runs on regular (low grade) pump gas. This vehicle is to be a highway cruiser for my trips to Mrytle beach.View attachment 151089
