i put up many, got a nitch in a.a. doing custom stuff, beyond the production b.s. I think R.C. had a barn like that several years ago,

Unfortunately I went to the credit union last Friday and the obnoxious woman behind me in line who was talking so loud on her cell phone in another language that it was distracting the tellers who were trying to count money was coughing hacking, and blowing her nose while carrying on. She breathed all over me and after I finished working on my Charger fender,I ended up sick in bed all night and I am still dealing with it at work today!
Last time someone did that I got out of line and left.....

Been selling some parts and trying to clean out the shop and trailer. Been doing that over the last couple of weeks. Also cleaned up the rest of the limb that broke recently from my neighbor's tree. It landed mostly on his fence and my modem line that comes off the pole behind my shop and attaches to the shop and runs from there into the house. Glad it didn't take it down.

Also cleaning up my 'office' that is now part storage room. Haven't sat at my desk in months plus the old desk top computer is dusty as can be so been working on that today. Been doing my paper work in the den and well, time to get all of that stuff out of there and put it where it belongs in the office.

Also started up the diesel pickup today after thinking it's probably past time.....and it was way past time....Oct 7th was the last time so charged up the battery and drove it some. It's not registered right now so stayed in the neighborhood but it stills has insurance on it.

Too nice not go out in the old Mopar today. View attachment 1571137
Looks like you're in Steve Dulcich's neighborhood.
Thought the same thing!!

Looks great, but it also looks like too much work! What is that area hanging over the entrance door & why the access door placement where it is?

way too much work is right, but I've been building buildings for years for other people, just sucks when your paying for it. cantileavered the floor over the entry door area to flush it up with the rest of the loft area, gained a little more storage or view area from the loft. the access door your calling it is actually an enclosure to hold one of 4 hpm-100, 200 watt pioneer speakers 1977 era (had a set in the 80"s, was stolen at a party go figure) will be placing those in each then covering opening in speaker cloth to keep the dirt and debrie out. also found a mcs (technics system) stereo reciever to power them only 85 watts per channel but won't have to worry about blowing them up

up. Started this april 2nd of this year with other projects and work its been a very busy year, but what else is there to do, I guess I like to stay busy.

Ran 4 mags through my Hellcat 9mm today as practice. Been too long, I need to be better about that. Still able to mag-dump into a 6" plate at 7 yards, though, so no complaints. Sights and laser are still dead-on.

Then I spent way too long under the kitchen sink, replacing the kitchen faucet. I'm 6'4" and not real flexible...that was decidedly un-fun. None of my new stuff leaks...but I found a pinhole in the cold water copper (before the shut off valve, naturally) that I'll need to cut out and replace soon. Wheeee.

Plumber just left my house… Had a 1/2 inch 90 started spraying coming from a 3/4 inch line… I didn’t feel like doing it as it was right above the steel beam in my basement. I know how to do plumbing work but sometimes you end up getting more involved then end up running around getting more needed pieces because of replacing more than you bargained for.. It was good he was here because we are getting a new acid neutralizer so I wanted an estimate on cutting out all the copper there replacing with PVC along with a new wall mount filter.

Yea, thinking on it I'm going to replace with PVC. Goofy location, no decent access, pipe is run an inch from floor joists (no bueno for a soldering torch) and right up against the exterior wall making it a bitch to get to at all...I'll just mount a 2x4 in the cabinet to strap the PVC to, and glue the joints instead of flame and solder. I'll take it through the floor into the basement, and splice to the copper far enough from the 90 where it turns up thru the floor, so I can reach it easily.

I could have used your skills a couople of months ago. I did another samll bedroom - fresh drywall. When I was sanding the vacuum got a bit choked, and nek minute I was in a complete fog of platser dust. I shut everything down, and quickly exited, shutting the door behind me.
It took about 2 hours for the cloud to dissipate.

All painted now, and ready to fit off the sockets and switches just in time for a Christmas move-in for my younger son. A/C is up and running.....should make sleeping at night a lot easier.

Just got back home from dropping off six sheets of plywood ready for a Christmas job. I need to line a 10-foot (16 washing machines) container so I can hang the electrical switchgear inside. Pitch black by the time I got home.

:xscuseless:

I have been told that we start dismantling the existing tired plant at the end of January. At long last.

I invested in a Hilti orbital sander for my Q.C. guy Joel a lot of $$ but if you do it for a living well worth it. works a lot better than the other spinner sanders. it has a Hepa filter with a thumper inside to clear the filter. check out Joel sanding with no mask. He can literally sand all day without getting dusty at all. we do have to go back and hand sponge the angles. which is a little dusty wearing a mask, we emptied the container on the vacuum 3 times for this project

Have brand new piping for my water service 'in' that replaced some really old rusted junk and did that summer before last and it's already got a leak in the middle of a 6" long coupling....so it hasn't even been in service for 2 years yet.....dang China made crap....sick of it!
