Today I finished up a "Honey Do" project... My GF likes her potted plants, but so do our dogs.... She's been using wire screen to limit access to her potted plants... It looked like crap but it's been effective.....

A couple weeks ago she started looking for a better solution & couldn't really find anything.... So I took over the project..... My solution...

The dogs take a pee on them?

Naa, they are both female huskies... No leg hiking going on... The older girl doesn't do anything, the younger girl is a little troublemaker, she digs in the pots & sometimes chews up plants...

Having a friend with a set of powered slip rolls with ring rolling grooves made making the top & bottom ring a breeze... Thirty little "L" shaped legs took awhile, my torches were out of oxygen so I used a Mapp gas torch which was slowwwwww...
welded the legs to the bottom rings & used welded wire screen... Turned out pretty well, almost looks professional... But I'd hate to have paid a pro to build them... I built twelve of them, materials cost about $70, the screen was the bulk of that... Time? Lets not talk about it...LOL... Momma's happy so I guess it was worth it...

My cheapo air impact gun stopped gunnin. Never thought how they worked, no need. Took end cap and duho just like a rotory fuel pump. Took the barrel that held the vanes out. Took the vanes out of slots, they had a gritty feel. Cleaned the inside out, the grooves where the vanes and the vanes. Put barrel in and lightly oiled vanes. put vanes in and reassembled it. Hot dam it worked. Think the grit came from air pipes, black pipe.

Victory is yours, sir.

Replaced spring loaded "washers" in hall bath tub/shower after shutting off water to whole house.

Was dripping. Last week 1 drip per minute. Today 3 drips per 15 seconds.

Also swept shop (grrrrrrrrrr).

Finished getting this big guy sorted out for my folks. No more going without power for my parents. My dad has wanted one for years, he asked me to find him the best deal and this the one I came up with. Air conditioners on, oven, dryer, pool pump, and 80 gallon air compressor running and didn’t see more than 50% load. Then grilled with my dad for Father’s Day.

What a great way to spend Father's Day..... 32C/37 with humandex and just hanging out around the pool with the youngest from 8AM to 3PM, even got fed again! :D The stupidity of bonding in skimmer fittings vs threaded and it of course not pointing the way I want it to go. Thank god it wasn't cracked or broken or it would be skimmer replacement time! Don't think it's their entire problem, but it's not sucking air anymore or leaking when the pump is off, not a single air bubble in the pump intake. One issue gone for sure... on to the next one when she calls and says "it's still losing water Dad" ! :praying::praying:

I've had three pools in my life and the last having three water features and a ton of pumping and concrete around it. I always took care of my own pools, till the last one with all the added plumbing and concrete. His contract read, if he winterized it he was responsible for any problems as far as leaks and repairs were on him. 200 bucks and the problem became his. He also installed the pool. Let him pay for 16 thousand dollars in concrete when things go bad. Pools are great till they're not.
