What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

Noticed I had a bit of a bulge on one rear tire on my work van.....so I checked it out. I already had a screw go into that same tire about 3 weeks ago.

Well, another screw of the same type is in the same tire, about 4 inches away from the last one. Another puncture repair coming up. I marked the location, just in case I wear out the head on the way to the shop.

BTW....not my screws....but I suspect they came from the carpark at my suppliers.....there are always contractors opening their vans, and **** falling out. Lazy and untidy bastages. :cursin:

Saw a screw in a guys tire at work. Told him about it, few months later still there. Couldn't believe it didn't wear much. Don't know if he ever fixed it.

Hmmmm.

Methinks "Submit" is perhaps a bit less "submitted" than we've been led to believe.

That’s a good neighbor for shutting it off at the meter,
Yeah one of the best neighbors I have had. They just sold their house and I told him we will miss them and Karen have better not have bought it.

Daughters tire swap..

I think the most satisfying part of having my car lift, tools and enough knowledge to be dangerous is the comfort of knowing that my kids and now Granddaughter are as safe as they can be on the roads. Not dependent on some quick lube outfit and a kid with a torque stick slapping their tires on and off and not doing an overall inspection while doing so. Daughter's CX3 in for tire change, brake inspection, wheel bearing check, general wellness check, battery load tested and charged.. ready for a safe Summer of driving. 6 years old now and still looks like new...other than the underside air dams that she's beat up pretty good.. lol.

I've 'unscrewed' screws from my tires lots of times then coat them with sealer and screw them back in.....some lasted for years lol. Just as good as a plug so long as they are not big and throw off the balance..

Young and poor me also screwed screws back in after coating with silicone or rubber cement.

Get enough of them and fun spark shows happen when you burn rubber.

Had studded snow tires and spun them for 50ft+. Looked in the rear view mirror and saw scratch lines in concrete pavement.

I have been busy out in the garage starting the rebuilding of a pair of sway bar mount tabbed lower control arms, and a disc brake set up that i purchased, over the weekend, from an ad in the local Craigslist.
