Not working on MY car, but I am working on my oldest son's Escape. BTW, Escape is commonly said to mean, "Engineering Slowly Comes After People Explode" and yes, I just made that up. Anyway, their transmissions are
known POS that fail on a regular basis. This one was purchased with a blown trans, so it is following it's family tradition. It will be rebuilt; better, stronger, and faster than before. If you know that intro line, you watched a lot of
TV in the mid 70's. Before I can do that, I have to get the damn thing out. Just because you can see the bolt, does not mean you can get it out. There are three upper bell housing bolts. Took half an hour to get this one out, and why would you put the longest bolt in the most difficult position to work on. I had to grind down a socket and a wrench to get this outstanding bolt out. Thank you FORD!!! Can't wait to put it back in.
