What did you do today....other than work on your car!?

This is the project I'm working on at work.
We're building a new facility in a neighboring city.
This is a spring loaded mount for a 75" interactive white board TV.
The TV's are F'n heavy.
There are several of them.

I had to go out and help them figure out exactly where to mount the backer boards.
We almost had to move the already run electrical and/or the stubs for the data.
But we got by with just modifying the backer board layout and moving the TV 6 inches to the East, to avoid hitting the conduit with the lag bolts.

The spring box ain't light. I guess about 30-40 pounds.
I have never seen a mount like that.
I estimate the TV weighs 60-80 pounds.
One guy can almost move it.

This '98 is the best 1500 bucks I ever spent. I don't care what you're driving, when you smack the bank (with the plow turned) hard enough to lift the *** end and throw it into the snow bank, you're not getting out without help! First time I've had to yank it this year... and that's rare. They haven't made a good Dodge truck since about 1978!
Still have my 97 diesel.....been a good truck. Had a 79 D300 Adventurer SE single wheel that was pretty worn out when I got it. Named it Edna because I whipped and beat her some more for the next 10 years! 360 w/granny low and M60 rear with 4.10's. Added 33's BFG Sport Truck radials all the way around mainly to kill the 4.10's a bit. That made it ride nicely.
God I miss that... :poke: :rofl:
I miss all the machinery I had access to and lots of co-workers but keep in touch with several of them.
Still cleaning up the rental.

They left us a garage half full of crap and a few interesting items-

Pizza oven-

Pre-lighted Christmas tree. On line price is six hundred dollars!!

Also 5 computer monitors and an NVidia video card, along with a win10 pro license key.
...and a 100 foot #16 extension cord. Kinda wimpy, but we'll take it.
...and we keep finding dimes. We'll take those, too.

About six busted fishing poles...and six good fishing poles and reels.
One is "everyone's first" Zebco 33. It actually feels GREAT, like new.
...and a 225/65/16 tire marked $40.
It's nicer than my mom's spare, and will fit her rim.

...and a fridge full of thawed and refrozen food-

...with a broken shelf.
Most items are delivery/uber eats.
Nice they can afford a $26 milk shake to be delivered, but not their rent!

Even delivery pre mixed salads!

The hall closet bi-fold. Not sure what happened, but the paper "wood" that holds the bottom pivot was broken.
New one is real wood.

Lots of painting and a fair amount of hole patching.
Living high on the hog is why they couldn't afford the rent....

Cut down some small trees, trimmed some tree branches, worked in the neglected flower/shrub beds.

Finished the small raised gardens. Ready to plant stuff tomorrow.

Maybe I'll mow tomorrow to mulch the oak leaves that fall non-stop around here.

Dang, you’ve got that hoe tied up. Or is she tied down. Lol

Attended the first meeting with other "investors" about establishing an LLC as part of a side project in IT.

Can't talk too much about it except to say it involves "AI" and I believe in the project.

...and I'm happy to have an opportunity to get in "on the ground floor".

Getting the A100 ready for a Poker Run tomorrow.

I left it a bit late due to workload, but I am in the middle of making a gimmick award for a fellow Sparkie. He goes to many shows but judges often walk past his car. He spent $200k on the machine.....and doesn't win much.

I have a quarter of that in mine....and I get plenty of attention....lol

Anyway.... 69 Camaro with a few mods.....I'll get more pics of his car tomorrow.

Managed to break my right hand. Stepping back with a Battery tripped over a transmission. My hand hit perpendicular to the ground and the Battery bounced on it. Buddies didn't believe me when I said it was broke.

Squirted a 1949 Buick Lead Sled SEM Satin Black…needs to flash off over the next few days.

Oh wow!!!

Went on a Fishing trip Friday before last, and it was a great day out. No permits needed in this country...yet, except for trout & salmon.
Open sea is fair game for anyone, with quotas of course.

One highlight was Brent hooking up on a small snapper, which was taken shortly after reeling it off the bottom by a five-foot Mako shark.

He played that shark for around 20 minutes before it broke loose.

Sadly, out of around 40 fish we hauled up, only two were keepers. This last picture shows how small some were. Great day all the same.

19.5 cm long - about 8 inches.....way too small.

The winning snapper from another boat was 76cm - or around 18 pounds.

The wife and I picked this 1974 up not too far from home. Spent most of its early years in TN then parked in 1999. Not much rust at all. This will be the next job as it is easier/faster to do than the challenger. Maybe done by mid summer? PO replaced the 318 with a 360. I will just replace the interior (white to black) but still have to decide on a color, not a big fan of KY5 Yellow Blaze.
