Assuming that you mean H2O water ice, it can be as warm as 32 F. or 0 C. and as cold as you can get it, down to absolute zero. If you include ice made with heavy water (D2O), it'll freeze warmer, starting at 39F or 3.8 C but will still chill to absolute zero.
True, my wife often wonders why I throw out the ice cubes when getting her a fresh drink. I have to explain that the ice cubes in the freezer are a lot colder than the ones that are starting to melt in the glass.Most people around here say ice is 32F. I get tired of explaining it to them.
