I put my 71 Challenger convertible in the enclosed trailer last fall, never had time this year to even look at it. I finally got it out of the trailer and into the garage to get it onto the lift. It has a driveline vibration that is getting worse and it is leaking transmission around the speedometer gear housing. It wasn't happy about firing up after sitting for a year. Once it finally got gas to the carb,it was good to go. Until this weekend I have not been in the garage since April. We pulled out the engine and transmission in my friends 69 383 4 speed Dart GTS and now I am going to sort out the Challengers issues and hopefully enjoy it for a few weeks this fall.

To many cars and not enough time. That's a problem few get to have. I do love Darts, a lot and would take one over anything else. To late now, I got me a Coronet calling for a ride around town!!

Nothing wrong with Coronets. I had two of them, both 69s. The first was an A12 Superbee and the other was a bronze 69 Coronet R/T stripe delete car. It does feel good getting back out in the garage and spinning some wrenches again. We will be putting the Dart back together in the spring. It was having a dry start oiling issue. The engine is going to the machine shop for a short block rebuild.

Both nice cars!!

My 67 Dart GT was a 273, that got a 340 upgrade and the 69 was the only car I ever owned that I left completely original, 340, 4 speed. My Coronet is a car that brings the old and the new together. I like it that way and the older I get, it's nice to get in, turn the key and have it in reverse and out the door, before the seat under me can get warm.

Drove the Coronet to work today. Generated some store traffic.

Last night was the final North St Paul History Cruise of the season. It was a nice night so the place was packed. We hung out and looked at cars, I took a cruise down the main drag before heading back home. The GTX ran so good in the cool night air…

Here’s a few pictures I took while we were looking at cars.
