Where did you and your car go today

Today begins the towns' annual Heritage Days festival, which tonight included parades and the requisite
Cruise-In. From the experience of participating in last years' parade (not), we decided this year to simply
bypass all the hoopla and find somewhere to park off the main drag, then go eat dinner.

When we came back out to Fred afterwards, this was the scene we found:

There was Fred, hanging out in the alley like a hoodlum....
Worse yet, he kept calling that Road Runner "boy", trying to instigate him into coming into the alley
for a fight!

Dang...I feel we've somehow failed as parents.

Failed as parents, I think not. He would have went out there and kicked some ***.
The only reason he didn't was he knew mom and dad would have ground him for picking on someone we know he could have beat into the ground.

Ride!! Looks like you beat it to pieces! I've tore up some cars, but you win the award for the most parts missing after a night out!!.............

Now it's time to put it back together. The thing I like the most is working without getting dirty from this point forward. All new parts and a clear view in front of you!! "That dog will hunt" and hunt hard!! Can't wait and we'll be watching! Thank for sharing!!..............Oh yeah, I get the idea you're thinking of changing up the wheels, don't. I've used your pick several times and the result were incredible. It's either Cragar SS or Torq Thrust ll. Gleam and mean. This car needs to pop. Just my take on it...... Now step out and get with the program!!!!

Went to a car show at a local historical site. It rained all night but cleared up this morning. This is the second to last show of the season. Next weekend is the Pumpkinfest show. By the way, the COE was sporting a 5.7 Hemi.

Last show of the season here. Already postponed once for rain, but it held off this time.

Car is running reliably now so went for a cruise through the wheat country- fun winding roads and no traffic- Earl killed a bunch of bugs.

I woulda gone, too, but I had to be a Grampa today. Thanksgiving at my son's. He is a firefighter with Mississauga, and was on shift yesterday. Were any of the WOMO guys there?

I drove the Charger to Pumpkinfest today. I met Dave6T4 who brought the 64 on its maiden voyage sort of. First time I have seen it in person, beautiful car. There were well over 1000 cars there. Here are a few of the B bodies.

Put about 10 miles on my car yesterday, second drive since 1978... just getting a feel for things and what i need to fix.. the 4.57s are howling on decel which is a bummer.. Brakes are not very good.. brand new EBC pads, hoping it gets better as they break in.. all in all though it went well even if it was a short ride, no heat issues or weird things happening. hating the exhaust note though.

So.. should i just go blank black rims or leave dog dishes in the front? can't decide..

P.S. ohh and i was surprised how well this takes bumps (after i did the alignment, before it was insane and felt like rolling death) Roads in michigan suck bad and in my grand cherokee i get beat to ****.. in this old pos i barely feel them sooo nice... That plus i forgot how much i love a bench seat Left arm on the door, right arm across the seat.. just feels perfect

My opinion mind you. I love the car and black tires and black rims leave just that, a black hole. Many don't like the dog dishes, but see how the bright dish pulls the bright on the car together. Picking between the two, I vote for the dishes. That's a nice car and you know I like red!!!!!! Gear change and drive it till it loosens up, adjust and carry on. It needs to see daylight and be shown off, thanks for sharing........... Ulli
