Where did you and your car go today

I had 6 rebuilds on 4 different pumps over the course of the summer. They would work OK for a little while, then quit pumping. One almost seized up after rebuild. One constant through all this, was the power steering fluid I was using. I never reused the fluid drained from one episode to another: always fresh fluid. The pump has a a fine screen filter in the return tube. ????? I flushed the power steering fluid out of the pump and box and replaced it with ATF, on the rebuilder's suggestion. Still not a lot of power at idle, but works OK on the road. I got pretty good at removing and installing pumps. TRW pump.
 
Have you checked your pressure hose, I had similar problem, lost power steering. Hose was in good shape, no leaks, changed pump, power steering worked but did not feel 100%. After driving several miles lost power steering again. A friend suggested changing the hose. No more problems.
 
Went to the city, 100 mile round trip. Had to stop off at a local forest to drop off a little visitor I caught in my garage. I can't kill them, I live on acreage and they live there too.
The multi-storey parking I left the car has got a crazy steep ramp leading in and out. It doesn't show on the photo but it's like dropping off a roller-coaster. Left hand drive makes it hard to get your parking ticket too. I have to lean right out the passenger window. The trip with the 5 speed TKX rather than the 727 auto is a lot different, cruising at 2,300 rpm instead of 3,000 rpm, much quieter, less mechanical stress.

We do the same with chipmunks that we trap on our property. Cute, but destructive.
 
I had a couple issues that came up that took a bit to fix, but she’s running again and the weather is beautiful, figured I might as well take it to work

So many years ago, a friend of my brothers, he's 7 years old than me, had a 61 ford falcon. It was gasser with a 390 automatic out of a station wagon. The engine was 4 barreled and other than that, stock. This thing was a blast and fast. Maximum cubic inch, minimum weight = quick.

It's called, clearing your head. Most of my life I drove about 20 to 30 miles to work. I used it as a time to get ready or a time to unwind, depending on which way I was going. On a few sundays, when few were out, I could be spotted on my way to to work in a yellow Viper, no top, doing 90, in 60 degree weather, at 5 in the morning. I called it, hell-bent for leather on God's day. LOL. Be safe!!
 
Fred took us out to a show today hosted by the local Veterans Center of East TN (non-profit that works to
try to stem the tide of veteran suicide, etc.). They're good people, one we've supported more than once...
About 100 cars, nothing big - but Fred was posing pretty hard today. :)

I'm sort of hobbling around a bit (left big toe got operated on the other day), but I managed to work the clutch
(sloppily, admittedly). It was good to get out for a bit...

Ed, you're a good man!! That's way too cool!! What a great cause to get together for and Fred played a major roll. Your car is a sweet piece and that toe is probably a few shades of the same color as Fred!! LOL. I bet it was a bitch to use that clutch! Thanks for sharing and....................... Be safe.
