He lives not too far from you big guy!

I met him briefly at a buddies mechanic shop, 12-14 years ago
in North Highlands/Sacramento area,
he was having a Motorhome/RV worked on...
He seemed to be a cool, calm & down to earth guy...

Kind of soft spoken, slow talking with a withered raspy voice,
for a guy the flew @ mach 2-4 all the time...LOL

I would have liked to talk with him much more...

This photo was taken on a cold day on the flightline (in front of Harry’s Army Navy store).

anyone make it down to see The Memphis Belle unveiled? They were going to have three B-17s and six Mustangs fly in.

Speaking of Aircraft, I "Flew" the F-22 Flight Simulator today here at Edwards AFB, Edwards CA
A little "Gift" from the Team, seeing that Thursday, 24 May 2018 is my last official "Work Day" with the F-22 Program.
I am officially retiring.

How was the flight you may ask?
Ha Ha.....
I became Air Sick!
:wtf:

Yup, this thing is so real, I became "air-sick"
And, I'm an old USAF Aircrew Member!
:usflag:

Anyway, it is so realistic and so high Tech you actually believe you are flying.
It is in a closed Dome, not a flat screen.
I'd say 240 to 270 degrees surrounding you and as far back (behind you) as you can see.
Anyway, I thought some of you would like to here that.
PS: I didn't need a BAG, just spatially disoriented and a bit nauseous.

CONGRATS on the Retirement! How the heck do you get sick in the sim? Oh wait. After they upgraded the BOTT visuals, aka Boom Operators Task Trainer. The effects were so real that when the BOTT went into a turn while still sitting level and not moving, I would get the greatest vertigo buzz from it that I'd just stop what I was doing and enjoy the ride. It never happened on the jet, but on the ground was a different fun story. I like coppin a free buzz!:thumbsup:

WHAT? You couldn’t just “tough” it out till Fri.?? Congrats anyway, Jeff.
