Well my Dad was a pilot of a B-24 in the South Pacific. But my favorite plane is the P 47 Thunderbolt. Big, fairly fast & eight 50's. Much damage done with 8 50's.

Where was he stationed in the So Pacific?
"Henderson Field"?
Guadalcanal...?

The Unlimited Super Corsair Lived at Chino for a long time....i think They lost it...but if memory serves correct,,the last variants that Vought built did use these....one long nosed pup....B-36 Peacemaker used the Korn Kobs also

Accordinng to wiki....the F2-G Supers were developed by Goodyear. So i stand corrected, none rolled out of Vought w/ korn kobs. They were developed as low altitude, ground attack fighters.

Accordinng to wiki....the F2-G Supers were developed by Goodyear. So i stand corrected, none rolled out of Vought w/ korn kobs. They were developed as low altitude, ground attack fighters.

Twelve produced by Goodyear. This one survives in it's former air racing days. Another on in blue crashed sometime ago, killing it's pilot.

At the end of June, the first C Series jet was delivered to SWISS, the first operator to get delivery of this Canadian airliner. Scheduled flights start July 15th, with another 29 planes to be delivered. Bombardier Aerospace so far has firm orders for 370 of both the 100 (108 - 133 passengers)and 300 (130 - 160 passengers) series.
