Would you save the old girl? She has a small rust issue

Heck ya I would save it. Get that front lined up and and weld it back on. You're half way done to restoring it.

Take what parts are worth it and start from scratch with AMD body parts.....you are going to end up replacing them all anyway. Oh yeah....better have at least $50 k to work with also!

A couple of small scratches and you guys go running :rofl:

A little buffing and she would be good to go. Hell yes save her!

"Relax, my old man is a television repair man. He's got the ultimate set of tools. I can fix it!"

A quote from Fast times at Ridgemont High......

WOW that car is gonna win 1st place at a car show one day. Of course save it, it's not as bad as it seems LOL.

I hope the guy gets it for "half Price". Ok I'll go to hell for that one.....

It's not a total loss and could be brought back but at what cost. It would be over my talent level

That looks like one of the "No-its-not-fersale-Ima-gonna-fix-it-up-someday" cars that litter the American landscape.
Looks like that window of oppurtunity done came and went. Can't hardly blame the guy, tho. It only takes like, 40 years for a car to rust back into the ground. Don't RUSH him.

There's a bit of sarcasm in the above statements. It's up to you to find it.

Thank you.

Hey I'm the first guy who will say I love 2nd gen Chargers & they need to be .... saved "Usually"... BUT Make an DR.'s appointment for a tetanus shot for sure...LOL... I say walk away, save your money & just start with something better, you will be ahead in many, many ways besides financially... Unless it's "really cheap" {like free} & then just save the useable parts, for another car... the whole front & rear frame sections, floors, trunk, lower quarters, front fenders & grill, probably the firewall & cowl, possibly the whole dog house too {it's already rotted of the car}, then the rockers & all the suspension will be probably be near worthless... IMHFO & like a--holes everyone has one... your basically buying an interior {probably rotten}, glass {probably delaminated}, trim {probably rotten} & a Vin & Fender tag {if it's even still there}, Possibly an engine, trans & rear, if they aren't all seized too... that's my $0.02 cents, unfortunately they all can't be saved... I smell a re-body with this one... someone needs to find out what the VIN# is & document it... I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers, someone needs to be a source of reasoning thou...

I only hope if someone try's to save it, they are a professional body guy or have done a few before at a minimum, it's not for a beginner or novice enthusiast & have some seriously deep pockets & big $$$ bank account, because you will need it...

My last car may have been worse and I pulled it from the scrap pile and breathed new life into it....

I see good glass there and so there must be some good gaskets

All I see is a good excuse for a back-half and alterktion front end :icon_blackeye:

But seriously that's a pretty depressing sight, does look like a victim of the "I'm gonna do a full restoration someday" disorder. Guess it depends on all the elements in the equation: time, money, knowledge, tetanus shots.
