In 1975 i bugged my dad for a car he said he would buy one but i would drive what he bought me [ooooh boy] while he was looking at the little crap cars i was looking on the back row i found a Cordoba white/red top and interior dad said no so i griped he got pissed and needless to say i did not get nothing. Later on my friend offered me a 383-4 speed Roadrunner for 250.00$ with a bad oil leak i drove it home and took out the motor, regasketed it and fixed the leak [cracked oil press sender] my father hated this car [cause i bought it behind his back] he did help to have it regestered/insured ect. I threw a timing chain several years later just before going into the USAF and my father sent it to the junkyard while i was in basic training. Now we have a 73 charger and a 66 barracuda.

Cool to see that most all whatever or whenever had there first Mopar, It started a trend in there life that the other brands doesn't seem to do.

Ouch, that hurts.

My 1st car was a '68 Barracuda that I put a 392 hemi into it in 1981 and I have been an A-body kind of guy ever since. But I did purchase this '69 Charger SE 318/904 for $200 in 1986. It drove very well and had a nice interior, but rusted quarters. They guy was going to haul it off to the crusher because it was ugly and got bad gas mileage! So I gave him $200 and off I drove. I gave it to my brother when I left for college and he sold it shortly afterward :angryfire:

My second was in 2006, this '70 Satellite wagon with 318/904, now 318/700R4. It was a 6 passenger wagon which I converted into a 9 passenger by getting the back seat parts off a donor. It is really my wife's car and she likes it except for the lack of A/C during the summer. That is the next thing on the list of to-do's. I mostly drive my cudas, a '69 Corona and a '56 Plymouth with a 392 hemi. :headbang: The '56 Plymouth is really a '50's version of the B-body, so does that count?

I'm a newbie too. Bought my first and only Mopar a year and a half ago. '74 Charger 318 in near-perfect shape, all original, 90K miles for $10K. I'm the 3rd owner, it was bought new in Santa Rosa in '74, people I know in Sonoma County saw it driving around for years. Paid a hell of a lot more than everyone else on here, that's the price for getting into these amazing rides so late. I tell myself $10K isn't so bad when a new Kia costs more. :)

My first car was a 1968 Charger R/T. Bought this car in 1981 at the age of 14. My dad had to drive it home (it barely ran and had limited brakes). Asking price out of the local newspaper was $500. The owner turned down my $400 offer but later accepted $450. I still own this car today. IMG_3010.jpg

Bought my first B-body in 1983, a 1970 Charger RT/SE for $3000. It looked good at the time..but I was 25, and didn't know a heck of a lot except I'd wanted a Charger since I seen the neighbor do a burn out with his red and black 69 RT in 1970 or so. It turned into a money pit as I replaced all the rusted out metal. There was a lot of bondo under the nice paint job it came with. Anyway it was well worth it as the car I bought turned out to be a V-code, 4 speed, 4/10 Dana car. I have it yet today and it was the best car I ever bought. I also have a 69 Charger RT/SE that I bought in 2011 and paid a heck of a lot more for. It is in great shape. I also have a 69 Charger SE basket case that I bought early this summer for my Daughter. It's going to need a lot of AMD metal and some interior work but I hope to be starting on it in about 16 months or as soon as I finish up my Sons Challenger. Hopefully some day I can get a 70 RR or GTX 4 speed car, but with all my projects it's going to be awhile.

My first was a '64 Dodge 330 2-door post, poly/auto, radio delete, rubber floor mats and full wheel covers (go figure) paid $300 - just needed a carb rebuild and tune up, that was 1986. I later converted it to a 383 4-speed, drove it to H.S. never lost a street race, had lots of fun in that car.

1965 Coronet 500 4spd.,383ci bought new fall of 64.
Price was around $2,750.00 been along time since.

69 coronet 440 paid $75.00 that was in 1980 i was 15 needed a timing chain it was a nice clean car i busted the k frame a couple years later. ive had probaly 20 different b bodys over the years and 100 more different mopars over the years from darts to new yorkers ,

1. '70 GTX, U code, but had a 440+6 (from an A-12 RR), 4-speed. $1700. in '81 when I was a senior in HS (my very first car).

2. '69 Sport Satellite, 318, 904. '82 - traded a '66 Ford wagon even up for it. I drove it as my winter car.

3. '64 Blevedere (see sig). Purchased in Florida for $3500. in '09. Current driver/project.

1970 Roadrunner matching numbers 383 H.P. 4 bbl. 727 TF auto console shift. 8 3/4 3.23:1 sure grip but missing the center section. Bought this for $3000 on ebay from Delaware and shipped for $1675 here to Washington. Car was sold out of a dealership in Buckhead, GA. to a Randall Kilgore and only has around 25,300 something miles on the tic toc tac. The original engine had a small dent on the oil pan with a pinhole in it. I removed the oil pan and found a short hairline crack on the #2 or #3 cylinder wall (I have to check again). This is my very first Mopar and I also bought a 1969 Roadrunner parts car in Michigan and that one is still waiting for me to get enough money to transport that one here to Washington or I might sell it part for part.

'73 340 4 speed road runner.paid $400 in '83. learned about the B&Bs with the blonde I was dating in that car :icon_biggrin:

1st ("car") `72 Dodge Adventurer D-100 P/U, bought from 'Mom & Dad' in `79 for $2,000. Had a 360/ Auto. Later installed a cast iron `72 340 intake & 750 thermoquad, headers, dual 2 1/2" exhaust. The towing capacity (and 1/4 mile times) greatly improved!

1st A-body...Duster 340, bought in `84 for $600! (you read correctly!). Needed a complete repaint & interior upholstery. Was my daily driver while stationed in Hawaii for 3 years. Rebuilt the motor & trans once state-side and again it was my daily driver for another 3 years...it would bark the tires shifting out of passing gear! sold in `90 (why did I do that?!) :banghead:

1st B-body...`66 Belvedere II, was 'FREE' in `09. My uncles' exact words were, "Come get it out of my barn."
View attachment 90042

So I did.
View attachment 90045

But just like a 'free dog' it ends up costing you way more than 'free'...and I would do it again. :headbang:
beautiful belvedere. my buddy has a 273 4spd dart in that same color with the same wheels. that would be a cute pair to have beside each other in the garage. nice car again. kuddos.
