Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in for what it is worth. I started as a Chrysler line techs helper in Aug of 87 and in 6 months started on the line. Busted my knuckles for peanuts at the beginning but then the money got very good within a few years. I left in April of 13 after the dealership...
Hi, I just finished a 70 RR in July and it went over the frame rail. It was built in 9 of 69. But I did a 69 last year and it was under the frame rail and it was built in 3 of 69. Both had factory 11 inch front drums. I have never been able to find out why they are different maybe some one here...
Hi, The switch on the back of the manual trans is for the reverse lamps. They run up the trans to the bell housing and into the wiper harness bulkhead connector. One is power out to the switch on the trans and the other one is power back to the reverse lamps.
Thank to all of you for the input. I also think it is overpriced the owner said he would not budge off his price but I did not have cash on the spot. The one thing that bothers me is no fender tag. A real bummer considering only a partial build sheet and just the top of the left corner of it was...
Yeah I was kind of thinking the same thing about the price. I have done 4 restos in the past 4 years 1 70 Cuda 2 69 Roadrunners and 1 70 Roadrunner. They all needed about the same amount of major work except for the E body. The 3 B bodies cost between 15K and 20k to do them fully. So I am not...
Hi guys I am seeking out my next project. I am looking at a 70 Coronet RT that needs restored and I am not quite sure of what it might be worth. The owner is asking for 15k. It needs typical B body sheet metal repair trunk floor, extensions, lower quarter repair, left lower rear glass pocket...
I did a 70 Roadrunner last year and had it media blasted and then covered with DP90 epoxy primer. It cost 1800.00 and had to tow it to their shop. It seemed a little high but man did it turn out great and super smooth ready for minimal bodywork. Took them 2 days and done. Really saved a lot of time.
I did ok with the price it sold for 41,800. Their were several bidders and a lot of lookers. I think it did ok for the venue. I am not sure if it would have even sold in the Corral after being there for 4 days did not look like a lot were selling there. Now just to find the next project.
I too was at the Carlisle show walking around with a GM guy who was in heaven. But when it comes to getting Mopar stuff there in Fall or Spring show it is truly hard to find. I walked the place for 3 days and found just a few parts and because they had a Pentastar the prices were doubled. I took...
That looks great. I did a factory A4 X9 for my "for sale" resto and the first time I drove it I got 2 guys telling me that is the best looking color combo they had ever seen. I have to agree I wish every day I still had it. GREAT WORK keep pluggin away at it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi, It is just a screwdriver type of tool that gets inside the hose to break it loose from the radiator fitting after it has sealed. It's like a large hook tool. But that is just what I used you could use anything that puts a little pressure on the inside of the chrome it to help pop it off the...
I love this thread. Sometimes we pay very little for a pos and sometimes too much for a pos. I found the true value of ol Ma Mopar a few years ago when I decided to start restoring cars and sell them to supplement my falling wages from a Chrysler dealer that lost it's franchise in the bail out...
I just did mine a couple months ago and as they say use a very small tool from the back but I also used a radiator hose removal tool to get up underneath the chrome on the front to help pry it off the tabs. As okiemopar said don't get in a hurry. Took me several hours and I only broke 1 tab off...
Hi, I would have to go with propwash on matching the paint. I bought a 69 Roadrunner that was done in Q5 a couple years ago and it had a several big chips in it{engine compartment, dutch panel, deck lid and fender}, that needed to be repainted and blended. It was a really nice job so I wanted to...
