1964 Plymouth Savoy Build

Everyday there at your garage is like Christmas!!!! I need all that stuff also!! Santa got pissed at me decades ago!! lol
For Sure! It' like I've collected all this stuff at swap meets and on eBay and storing it for years to finally taking it out of a box and putting it on the car. My old door locks where such in bad shape I had to get new ones, I should have bought them years ago because now they are scares and expensive! Searching for the stuff is like Christmas too! Especially if you find it lol! Good luck on your search

Now got the drivers door lock cylinder and gasket mounted. Mounted drivers door panel.looks like I might be going with the black carpet I think.

Got the set of Max Wedge Power Core 7mm ignition wire set from Kramers, according to them it's the last set. They are spiral cord wiring so should work well with MSD6AL2. They are pretty nice, numbered and precut to length and they are orange.

Finally got around to finishing the black around the headlight covers for the grill. I masked off around with masking tape and then used liquid latex to brush over the ribs. Then used primer and paint.after the paint was dry to touch I removed masking and then waited over night to remove the latex.

Here they are with the latex removed. I'm happy with it but it's not perfect. I did want to paint it with spray on rather then brush because I didn't want brush marks in the paint. I wanted it smooth like original. Also realized I did not do the ends of the grill so I did that as well. This was probably for me the most painstaking thing I've done to the car lol.

I order a uni lift from us car tools to put the motor in today. When I took the front bumper off I notice the uni lift mounting brackets will not attach correctly on my car so come to find out I some how ordered the 69-76 one and not the 62-65. I called and spoke to one of the guys in the service department and he jumped right on it and sent me an email shipping me the 62-65 one. Great customer service and they make really good products and tools for our cars. I've purchased a lot of stuff from them especially on my 68 Dart for chassis stiffening and mini tubes. I will be making a build website on that car as well on A bodies only lol!Any way I was able to male this one work and successfully installed the k member with motor and transmission!

Rolling engine underneath with us car tool Engine dolly. Had to have the frame rails at 3 ft from the ground at the back mounting hole for k member. It easily went in and lined it up then slowly lowered the car down over the assembly. Worked great

Got everything close and lined up then installed the four k member bolts and torqued them down. I looped a chain across the transmission crossmember mounting holes to hold the back of the transmission up. Should get my cross member for the transmission soon.

Got the upper control arms mounted and used block off wood on the lower control bumper and the frame to hold the car up. Don't have the torsion bars yet. I'm going to go with PST's and get a discount for members. But the motor is finally at it home in the car and she's got 4 wheels now!
