Finally got som quality time with the Charger again so I completed the exhaust wrapping, mounted clutch, bellhousing and gearbox. Of course I needed to do some manufacturing again. Had to make a bushing for the hydraulic throw-out bearing since the shims delivered didn't do the job..

No, unfortunately not. Not sure if this clutch will hold up. Time will tell..

This was fun, but I had to remove it again and do some adjustments to the mounts. I feel the engine is to close to the passenger side shock mount.
So back in it went. But I still think it's to close. Not sure what to do.

American Powertrain. Wasn't a direct fit with the parts delivered but no big headache.

I guess the most important part of the installation is to get the correct ratio. APT's manual Said between 1:5 and 1:6. The way I did it got me closer to 1:6. Drilled a new hole in the pedal arm and made a bracket to off set the pushrod with about 70mm. 150mm of pedal travel gets me 25mm of movement on the pushrod.

I was looking at your set up. I did a hydraulic MC/Slave set up on my Cuda (where I have a slave cylinder near the trans that pulls the clutch fork) and in that set up I made a bracket that positions the MC and the same angle as the original clutch rod. It seems to work ok but to be honest, the clutch is very heavy and I am not really happy with it. It could be the pressure plate I used or it could have to do with the MC and/or the slave cylinder; regardless it is something I need to figure out at some point. I have a 71 Charger I am putting a 5.7 into with a 4 spd as well as a 70 Roadrunner that I am putting a 66 426 Hemi and a 4 speed into and for those I am looking at other options such as the hyd TB and perhaps even factory linkage (which I would rather not use).

My best guess is that you need to drill a new hole higher up on the pedal arm. What's your ratio now? How much can the pedal move before the MC's pushrod moves 1"?

I am not sure what the ratio as I built the car some time ago but when I get back to it I will check it out. That said, I do believe that the ratio is good but the pressure plate may be a bit stiff (heavy) or the the slave cylinder doesn't have enough stroke, but I do have another one for it but again have to find time to work on it.

F...ing finally!!
First of all I want to thank my dolly and my hydraulic engine lift, I thought you were giving up on me there around 5th or 6th time I rolled that beast of an engine in underneath the raised car.. but you stood by my side til the end! Thank you!

Engine is in for hopefully the last time. Something isn't right in the front because it was a supertight fit on the passenger side but after shimming, grinding and tweaking everywhere it's finally looking good and I can carry on with my life..

The Borgeson is adjusted to fit between the headers and clears everything including the steering knuckles vs the headers underneath.

Looking forward to have it down on all four wheels very soon!

Between struggling with the Hemi I've worked on the heater box. Looked ok from the start but after a closer inspection I found cracks and missing pieces here and there. Starting to look decent so I'll probably spray it during the weekend.

Down on all four! Just eyeballed the camber and caster. A bit too aggressive probably. Right now I have about 3" clearance between floor and k-member skidplate.

Zinc-plated all small bits and pieces to the heater box. Found s spray-paint similar to rough steel surface and sprayed all metal sheet Pieces. The box itself got a semigloss black epoxy.
